Postal Annex Reviews (3)

Good Morning Ms. Bejarano   My name is [redacted] and I work for Postal Annex in Perris California.  Mr. [redacted] came in to my store asking about a package that had been lost and he believed it to still be in the store. I tried tracking the package for him,  I called the local...

postmaster to see if we could get any internal scans ( they have information on scans that we can't see).  I checked any place that this very small package could have maybe been misplaced or fallen behind. I asked my employees that were working on that particular day if they remembered anything.   After exhausting all resources available to me I sent him back to the USPS in Perris because they don't always scan in store as they should and after working for this company for 17+ years I know they have a lost and found center in los Angeles so I told him to specifically ask for that because they don't usually tell customers about that.  I'm sorry if he feels that I didn't help him enough but I did use all my resources.   [redacted]-Manager POSTAL ANNEX+42 [redacted] Lake Elsinore, CA 92530 P:###-###-####*F:###-###-####

I shipped a TV through this business. I purchased insurance on the package in the event of damage. It arrived broken, They refuse to help me.On 10/6/2015, I went to this postal annex branch to ship to my home in California a TV, a 43" 1080p [redacted], which cost me $399. I brought the tv in its original Packaging, which included the original box and the styrofoam buffers on the top and bottom of the tv. I had the TV packed in store; this included stuffing the entire box, both in front of and behind the tv, with packing peanuts. The box was then sealed with large amounts of packing tape. After the package was sealed, I purchased insurance, to the tune of $400, in the event that my package arrived broken. My total cost, including shipping, packing, and insurance, was $98.42. My package arrived at my home in Ca on 10/13. When I went to open the package, I noticed damage on the outside of the package; namely a tear or puncture on the side of the box that the screen was facing. I opened up the box, removed the TV, and immediately noticed that the frame of the tv had cracked and popped off in several places. I plugged in the Tv, and the screen was totally shattered, and unusable. I searched for the receipt I was told would be put inside, and there was none, neither inside or outside the box.I then contacted the branch office on the morning of 10/16, and told the associate the situation. She asked for my contact information and the tracking number, and I gave her it. I was told I would be contacted by a manager by the end of the day or the following. I called them the following day, since I had not been contacted. I called 5 times, and the 5th time they picked up and said that they were busy, and would call me back. I called back again to inquire on 10/19, since I had not been called back. I called 4 times, my information was taken down on 2 of those calls, and I was told I would be called back. After I waited a week without being contacted, I called the Postal annex corporate office on 10/26. I talked to an associate, and she called the branch location. She got no answer, and said that the branch office most likely had both my number and the corporate number on a call blocker, as to avoid me. I was told to call back the corporate office when someone who could help me with the insurance claim was in. I then called back on 11/1, and was helped by a man named[redacted]. He told me that he would contact the manager, and that a claim would be filed and that I would be contacted. Two weeks later, and I had heard nothing. I called[redacted] back. He has been helpful, but he said that the claim may not be successful because I did not ship the package in a box provided by the store. I was never offered a box by the store. I still have never been contacted by anyone from the branch location. This situation, and my insurance money claim, is still unresolved./////Desired SettlementI paid for an insurance of $400 in the event that this package was broken. The store associate packed the box, and I was never told that I would have to put the tv in a box provided by the store.I want my insurance money.I want this resolved. I want an explanation as to why, over the course of a month, I have never once been contacted by this location. I want an explanation of this unproffesionalism./////Business Response

Review: A client of mine had borrowed a large subwoofer from me. Rather than driving from Sacramento to Redding to bring it back, I suggested to her that she ship it, insured. She brought it to Postal Annex to have it packed and shipped. They packed it very incompetently, putting it in a huge pile of popcorn, without putting the machine into a plastic bag first. So, the subwooferwas damaged because a great deal of the plastic popcorn ended up inside the speaker.UPS came to check the device, and determined that they were not responsible, because it had been damaged by the shipper, not during the shipping process. The owner of Postal Annex agreed to pay. I faxed a copy of the original invoice, which they did receive.I have called at least 5 times. He has not yet sent me a check, and the incident happened over two months ago. I feel that it is time I receive my payment, and I am getting tired of calling, with no response.Desired Settlement: I want a check in the amount of $249.00, to reimburse me for the damaged speaker. The person who shipped it did pay for insurance, and I want that insurance honored.
