Review: July 23, 2012 I had my driveway removed and replaced by [redacted] while they were in the [redacted] area removing and replacing sidewalks, driveway aprons and intersections for handicap accessibility. My driveway was 25 years old. The driveway was done and looked good and I was told I had to pay cash. I was not told this upfront however, since the work was done I did not feel I had much option. I went to the bank, cashed a check and paid them. I was told the work was guaranteed a year. I have a receipt. That winter was mild and there were no issues as nothing was used to melt ice. This past year has been different and the first time used a small amount of ice melt I noticed the driveway just crumbled. I started looking around the neighborhood and noticed anywhere where the sidewalks, driveway aprons or intersections for handicap accessibility were replace when my driveway was done were crumbling too. I contact the City of [redacted] to verify the name of the company and asked to wait and they would look into it. It was determined this is a private issue. I have since contacted the company. They said they would send someone to look at it but, to the best of my knowledge that has not happened as I have had no return call. I have contacted them 4 times with no results or returned call. The driveway is in horrible condition actually worse then the driveway I had for 25 years.Desired Settlement: I would like someone to come look at the driveway and recommend a solution. I have been told to resurface is not an option as it does not work. I am willing to work with the company but, I can't do that if no one will talk to me or come look at the issue. I have been told this problem of crumbling is happening all over but, the only places I see it in my community is where this company removed and replaced the existing concrete. Anyone who used any chemicals even as safe as [redacted].
