Review: I contacted [redacted]) in June 2012 and advised her I need to take a leave of absence from school because I was moving out of state. [redacted] advised me fine and forwarded me the proper forms to put my classes on hold until August 2012. However, after returning to school I was informed by [redacted] that the paper work to take a leave of absence was done wrong which left a balance owed on my student account. [redacted] further stated I will not be able to start school unless I take out a loan to cover the amount owed. [redacted] only stated because the paper work indicated that I dropped out of school the money for the classes was sent back to the Federal Government. After going through the process of making sure the paperwork was filled out properly to continue my education. I was informed by [redacted] that the paperwork was never changed and the money should not have gone back to the Federal Government. Later I found out through probing for answers from different faculty members at Potomac College, which I was charged for courses I never took between the months of June - August; which was during the time I requested a leave of absence from Potomac College. These were the courses that should have been put on hold until I return to school. Now I am left with an additional loan which I had to take out to continue my education for courses I never took at Potomac CollegeDesired Settlement: I need the money that Potomac College accepted from Tuition Options to be repaid back to the company to clear my name for a student loan that should have never been taken out. I also need for Potomac College to properly train their staff to fill out the proper paper work and not leave students taking out loans for courses never taken with their school.
