The Doctors are great but the staff were horribleCarlisia the Front Desk Receptionist was very disrespectful, she refused to take my sons appointment arguing that we should speak to a nurse via phoneKeep in mind that we had already spoken to a nurse the night before and the nurse told us to call to schedule an appointment the next business day. Carlisia said anything & everything to keep us from coming in but we were persistent and finally got an appointment.  We walk in to our appointment and was greeted by Jeannie the nurse Manager who said to my Husband with a smile on her face, that she does not appreciate him cursing out her staffKeep in mind, my husband did not curse at Carlisia & Jeannie did not listen to the call before accusing my husband of a lieIt is one thing to say he cursed and its another to say he was irate because he was being told by an incompetent receptionist that he couldn't make a same day appointment when my son is sickMy husband advised the nurse Jeannie that she is siding with the lying receptionist when she hadn't even listened to the callJeannie then confessed stating she did not listened to the call but whatever the receptionist say is what she is going by and she's a nurse manager. Now what kind of manager would even say such thing. I can understand if you were there and heard the whole conversation, but if you weren't there and admitted that you haven't even listened to the call, then do your JOB and manage the situation, not escalate it. When the argument got heated, she turned around and said my husbands voice is very intimidating & he shouldn’t fold his handsOh really?? that's the best defense you have for being wrongHow do you poke the bear and expect no reaction? After hearing my husbands side of the story, Jeannie started trembling & said she will listen to the call and if her staff was wrong she will call to apologizeInstead of shifting her focused on the sick child, she was busy planning an attack. I was very agitated by her combative style, that I wanted to take my child elsewhere but my husband insisted that we have him checked since we were already there. Jeannie really stared up the pot & if it wasn't for her, I wouldn't be writing a reviewIn fact am glad she did that, otherwise I would have just brushed it off and gone back there, despite the terrible services through the yearsPrior to this incident, my year old daughter had a terrible cold and we took her to Right Time Urgent Care for a check up, we were advised to make a follow up appointment with her doctor the following dayWe call in for the appointment and Carlisia gave us a tough time as usual, stating that they don’t take the children in these cases until they have completed the prescribed medicine from the urgent careAfter minutes of going back and forth she finally took my daughters appointment, lord and behold my daughter was misdiagnosed for a sinus infection from the urgent care, when she only had a common coldIf she continued to take the meds as suggested by Carlisia, my daughters lungs would have been seriously inflamedSo you can only imagine what could've happened if we listened to the receptionist Carlisia and not have taken my daughter there like the urgent care recommended. Because of Potomac Pediatrics ridiculous policies & procedure I only took the kids to get they're shots.  We always take the kids to Righttime Urgent care when they get sick and they've always wondered why we don't take them to their pcp, well now you know why and i'm sick of itI am definitely going to search for another pcp but not without sharing my experience with the worldlike I said, the doctors are great when you finally get to see them but is it worth going through rude and incompetent receptionist and nurses to finally get to see the doctorPotomac Pediatric charges an annual non covered charge of $per child in addition to the regular fees that insurance pay for and copaysAfter paying all that, I still come to meet ungrateful staffUnacceptable!
