Review: Potting shed creations has kept my credit card information 'on file' against my explicit instructions NOT to do so, then fraudulently charged my card for an order that I had NOT yet confirmed for shipment.

They then not only claimed they did not know how to reverse the charge, even after canceling the shipment, they have yet to even issue a refund!

Then, on top of it all, they have decided to cancel the rest of my pending orders with them...as if this entire ordeal were my fault!Desired Settlement: They must do ALL of the following:

- issue a full refund for the unauthorized charges.

- issue a letter of apology from the company, not only for what happened, but the manner in which it was handled.

- honor our original 3 part order agreement - OR - issue a full refund for part one immediately as it was meant to be merchandised together.

Response:

Dear Mr[redacted],

We received your letter today regarding [redacted] and his store [redacted] in San Diego, CA. In sixteen years of business we are truly proud of our customer service but unfortunately we do run into a few customers, really very few, that are not in line with our business practices.

Mr. [redacted] contacted us August 18, 2014, wanting to obtain what we would consider a large sample order of our products. We told him we do not typically sell single samples (most of our products come in casepacks of three or six) but we would make an exception trying to accommodate his request. He asked for ‘comped’ samples and said he would pay for the rest. We then sent a sales order August 19 and did include 6 free samples (please see enclosed invoice).

He emailed back August 26 and said he thought we could ‘comp’ more of the order. We told him he could adjust his order down but the six samples we provided for free was all we could do. He later agreed to the Sales Order amount as is, but asked for us to break it into 3 separate shipments and payments. We agreed and received his credit card number on September 19. On September 22 we sent and charged the first third of his order in the amount of $272.

Our shipping department was informed to send Mr. [redacted]’s order in 3 separate shipments so the following month on October 6, they packed the next third of the order and charged his card $270.30. Mr. [redacted] emailed on October 6 and said he was not ready for the second shipment. We apologized for the misunderstanding we took his package off the truck and on October 7 we reversed the charge to his card (please see enclosed refund receipt).

Mr. [redacted] proceeded to email and call with threats, language and behavior we do not think our customer service department should be exposed to so we closed his account and told him we can no longer do business with his store.

I have all the email correspondence between Mr. [redacted] and our customer service should you want to review.

We do not wish to comply with any of Mr. [redacted]’s desired settlement requests.
