Sorry for the late response. Case #[redacted].
Not sure what this Mrs.[redacted] is taking about. These repairs where done over a year ago. She talks about us repairing an oil leak and about her invoice being $1600.00.We don't have any records of either us repair an oil leak or a...

invoice that totaled $1600.00.We also don't have any records of us replacing the radiator a month later ? Mrs.[redacted]s  did bring in her car to our shop on 4/24/2015 for a no start problem. At that time we found that her car was out of fuel. After I called her to explain what we had found on her vehicle, she then asked us to look at the a/c system. We checked her a/c system and found a bad a/c blower resistor and a coolant leak at the radiator. We informed Mrs.[redacted]s about the repairs needed and gave her Quote of $1289.73 and she asked us to go forward with the repairs but after her approval  we were to get a better price on the radiator and her invoice came out to $1049.66.Also we were never asked to save the old parts or asked to show the old radiator. We received a call from her son on 4/26/2016.He was claiming the new radiator we replace a year ago was bad and was leaking coolant. I picked his car that morning and check it for a coolant leak. The radiator was ok no leaks no problems with the radiator but what we did find was that the car had damage to the front bumper (we believe that the car was hit or maybe someone backed up into the front bumper and pushed the coolant reservoir into the power steering pump causing it to rub a hole into it) We picked up the vehicle and made the repair for them at no charge. Let me know if you need copies for the invoice's. Please feel free to call me with any questions. [redacted] or cell at [redacted].Sincerely

Review: I took my car to Poway Auto Repair on Tuesday 8/4/15, because the check engine light was on and my maintenance required tab was red. My car was running fine still and was drivable. I called them a few hours after dropping my car off and was quoted a price for what the guy said was wrong, a misfire on cylinder 1 and that it needed new plugs and wires. I was told that I would be able to pick my car up that night. They did not call me back, so about 10 minutes before they closed I called and asked them what was going on. They told me my car was not ready and that it was not drivable now. It turned out they did a valve adjustment and replaced spark plugs and wires in all cylinders, without calling me to inform me that they were doing something else. They told me they needed to test in the morning when the engine was cold. Whatever they did to my car made it worse, because it was running well enough before they did any adjustment. They then called me this morning, 8/5/15, and said that I need this huge thing done, replace my cylinder. I told him no and that I would take it to another mechanic. I asked if my car was drivable and he told me again that my car was not drivable I that I would need to get it towed. The fact that they returned my car in worse condition and now I had to pay for a tow as well is ridiculous. When I was there waiting for the tow truck I told the worker that I should not have to pay for them messing up my car more so. He then told me that my car is in the same condition that I dropped it off in, and that I could drive it. I confronted him about what he told me on the phone, and his response was that I shouldn't be driving it, even though he specifically said that it was not drivable. They would not release my car without paying, I gave him my card because the tow truck driver arrived and I was done being treated so poorly and lied to.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund for the charge, the service they provided did not fix the problem that I was informed of and actually made things worse. I would also like this complaint to be available for the public to read, hopefully be able to prevent this company from taking advantage of other people.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.Hello,

Review: Poway Auto Repair has had my vehicle for 10 days now. They just called my with the fifth "problem" found in the cooling system. They have accused me of utilizing substances which clogged the radiator, substances which have never touched my vehicle. Most recently I received a phone call admitting that they performed repairs which were perhaps not necessary, but a new problem was found and I would be charged an additional $300 for the repairs. Five days ago I was told that my car was fixed and paid over $600. I tried to drive away and my car immediately began showing the same symptoms that first prompted my visit to their shop. It was returned to the shop for additional repairs. Since I have already paid over $600 and told that my car had been repaired, it is ridiculous that I be expected to pay another $300 for the same issue. Furthermore, the mechanics at the repair shop have made it clear that they have no qualms lying to customers about work being done. I have personally witnessed several cases where a customer was told that their vehicle was being worked on when it wasn't. This type of behavior is unethical and needs to be stopped.Desired Settlement: Repairs finished and vehicle returned in working condition.
