As the owner of Powder Coating Technologies, I have addressed the complaint issues with the customer on numerous times. The price quoted to powder coat his fan and fan housing was $ 150.00 (not including sandblasting), which would be charged on...

a time and materials basis. The time to sandblast is typically not known for certain until the process is started, so it is quoted on a time and materials basis if accomplished in our shop, or at cost plus 30% is done by an outside vendor. A copy of the job sheet including this information was offered to the customer. When the customer arrived to pick up the finished parts, the fan had some flaws that had to be corrected. It was subsequently chemically stripped and re-finished. Once this was accomplished, both parts were in perfect condition and in accordance with the original order. The price, color selection, and masking of the parts were exactly as originally discussed and agreed upon. This is reflected in the job sheet notes and photos taken when the job was received. When told by the customer that the price was not as quoted, I reminded him of our conversation about the sandblasting price range but willingly reduced the price to him by $ 50.00, believing this would be satisfactory.
When I called the customer to apologize for the necessary re-work of one part, I was met with the comment that we could "throw the parts in the dumpster, as they weren't good for anything anymore". I assured him that we would strip and re-finish the fan to his liking, but the fan shroud was finished in the exact color he selected and was masked exactly as he and I agreed upon. I was perplexed that he would want these very expensive Porsche show car parts thrown away due to a cosmetic flaw. Especially when the total project was only worth $ 240.73! At no time did I make an excuse, but only pointed out what was originally agreed upon and provided. At no time did the customer try to make anything "right". There is no reason to replace the fan or shroud. The work has been completed according to the original order and will be released upon receipt of the revised total amount due of $ 190.73.

Nothing has changed.
The work done is unacceptable and the PCT's response is not accurate. I see no attempt by PCT to resolve this matter in any way.
As stated in my original complaint.
I want the poor quality powder coating applied by PCT removed from my parts or the parts replaced.
