Review: and failure to finish the job we paid for!

Hired Powell Roofing to do our roof. They shredded/cracked our siding, removed a front shutter and left our home in awful condition exposed to the outside elements. I have tried over the past 2 months to contact Powell roofing to speak with [redacted] and to get the name of their insurance adjuster. She will not provide me that information and will not work to meet with us to determine an amicable solution.Desired Settlement: We want our home made whole. We need siding. Not cracked mis-matched patched siding (too much missing to patch) but we need our home returned to the condition it was in PRIOR to them replacing the roof.

We were contacted in March of 2014 by [redacted] to provide a bid to replace their roof and gutters. [redacted] asked [redacted] for referrals for siders at that time. We were hired to replace the roof and gutters and were asked to coordinate our schedule with the siding company that she chose so as the roof would be done first. To help facilitate timing, [redacted] brought siding samples over to help [redacted] choose a color. [redacted] had also left a message about venting and we had a discussion on having the soffit and fascia done with the siding. [redacted] passed along the cost from the sider for this. On a separate occasion [redacted] met with [redacted] and had conversations on how the siding would fit around the current windows and the options of casing/wrapping the current framing or if new outside casings would have to be installed to have the finished siding look the best. She gave her opinion, but told him that the sider would be the best one to give him options. As the roofing project began, there were problems found with the venting and how the fascia was bent and met the roof - these issues were talked out with [redacted] and [redacted] as they were found. Before any siding was removed, [redacted] again asked [redacted] if they were for sure having the siding done and he said yes. [redacted] then said that if that was the case, we would take the siding off to install new flashing and would leave it off to save the siders some time. Since we were asked to coordinate with the sider, we had no reason to believe that siding was not going to be replaced by that contractor. If [redacted] did not want this to happen, he had the opportunity to say so before it happened. We did make sure that all the seams were taped and would be water tight anticipating that the siding contractor would begin work in the next couple of weeks.
