Review: [redacted] agent told ME to take my car THERE for repairs after an minor accident. This garage, no other. The shop stated that as soon as they were given the release to do the work they would. I was away at the time visiting relatives out of state. They completed the work on my car and then called me to tell me that I needed to come and pay them immediantly...or I wasnt getting my car back...that the insurance company wasn't going to pay. I did not give them permission to work on the car without the insurance company paying , it was contingent on that and they knew that. They held my car hostage and pressed me to come pay for the repairs even while the dispute with the insurance company was going on. I am a single mom with two kids working two jobs and they knew that. They knew I had to have to have the car to go to work...pick the kids up from day care ect. When I asked them why they did the work anyway even though they were only suposed to do work signed off by the insurnace company...they pretty much told me tuff ...we did the work now you pay or we are keeping your car.I felt like this was a set up between the insurance company ( a complaint will be filed on them as well ) and this garage. Why would a business do work without consent then hold the vehicle hostage after? Very disappointment how I was treated. I feel like I was taken advantage of and mentally abused by being put in this situation. To have a business tell me that it was ok that they went ahead and did work on my car without consent and there was nothing I could do about it but pay was wrong. Also ...this company refused me a loaner car while they had mine in their shop, despite it saying online that loaner cars were available. They kept telling me they would let me know. No loaner car was ever given.Desired Settlement: I want an apology from this company for taking advantage of my situation and me. I want this company investigated to see how often they do this to other people. I want compensated for the mental turmoil and hell they put me thru for an entire month.
