I am writing in response to complaint ID *** I recall this incident The customer brought the car in with a complaint of lights on dash flashing and instrument cluster lights flashing We told her that the initial diagnostic charge would be $+ tax After
technician started testing we were unable to pinpoint problem within estimated diagnostic cost We then contacted customer I explained to the customer that this appeared to be an electrical problem and it would be necessary to do more diagnostics up to hours She then asked how much the cost would be Before I could answer she replied just go ahead I have to have my car fixed During this conversation I asked if any recent repairs had been done to the car and she said only some repair to rear bumper and some minor maintenance repairs The technician continued with diagnostic and found that the car had a faulty driver door control module faulty causing interference on the computer can bus network The required part was on national back order and no available date given from dealer A used part was available We then called customer and informed her of estimate for repairs She said she was unable to repair at this time She expressed that she wanted to pick up car We told her that the car had some components disassemble and would require us to put back together She then stated she wanted us to put car back together and we told her it would take an hour labor to put things back together and if she was to repair car the only additional cost from repairing and not repairing would be the cost of part which would be $ She explained she could not do this at this time and said to put car back together When customer came in to get vehicle she denied any explanation of additional diagnostics and expense to put car back together She said she only authorized $ This was not the case After vehicle was picked up she called and said that a fuse box cover under hood was broken and it was not the part that was on her car I explained that we did not change any parts on her car She then argued that she knew it was not hers because she had recently had it changed, but when asked if she had any previous repairs completed, she said no I am not willing to give any reimbursements She authorized all work done verbally over telephone.Sincerely,*** ***Owner

The whole way that they recanted the story was incorrect. The part wasn't in national back order because there was no part ever needed it was faulty wiring in the vehicle. They were going to charge me a additional $400 for them to even order a so called part that I never needed. So I do not accept this response.
