Review: 32 panel solar install on concrete tile roof. This company falsely claims to have been in the "energy efficiency and renewable energy market" for 25 years. I don't know what that refers to but they have only been doing solar for 2 years. The actual install will be subcontracted out to a company called Nexxus. This company should be shut down. The quality of the install is haphazard and sloppy. Your roof will be seriously compromised and left vulnerable to the elements via broken tiles, unnecessary holes and just a general lack of knowledge and care. The sales rep made promises that could not be kept and I basically had to become the generalContractor on the job and hire out to get specific parts of the job done. As a laymen and someone that is not experienced in installing solar I can only tell you the obvious things I see. These include broken roof tiles, some tiles attempted to be repaired with silicon, while others that were hidden were simply paneled over. Electrical boxes that were left vulnerable to the elements, panel brackets insecure or loose and bolts left only finger tight. One strong Santa Ana wind and it is likely that at least one panel will be flying off my roof. I have documented the ordeal thoroughly and every time I notice something else wrong they attempt to fix it and simply can't get it done. Currently I was assured that all panelsWere secure and upon inspection 2 brackets fell off literally when I touched them. I have talked to the owner of power aid and all managers at nexus. They simply are not capableof performing the simple tasks of solar install.Desired Settlement: At this point this install has not only compromised the integrity of my roof but has become a serious safety concern. With 32 panels on a two story roof I fear that a panel will come loose, fall off and damage my property or god forbid hurt someone. I would like to have system removed or inspected by a third party to ensure it's properly installed.
