My name is *** *** the widow of the deceased dentist Dr*** *** Mr*** was clearly informed of what the outcome of his
Invisalign treatment several timesThe doctors notes clearly stated the discussion with Mr*** and what the outcome would and would not beBoth the chair side assistant and our Treatment Coordinator also reiterated that information to Mr*** prior to proceeding with his Invisalign caseMr*** was well informed of what the outcome would be and he would have a wonderful smileHe was informed on more than one ocassion that only surgery would correct his overbiteMr*** has filed disputes with Care Credit as well as a dispute with his insurance carrierThis process requires our office to supply all information regarding Mr*** case so that they can independently determine if we acted in good faith, made sure Mr*** was well informed of his entire treatment, did we perform the standard of care all patients are entitled to in our dental office and did we make every effort to reasonably work with Mr*** to resolve this matterBoth Care Credit and Mr*** insurance carrier denied his claim and determined that our office did everything according to standard and that Mr*** was well informed of his treatmentWe are sorry that Mr*** continues to be unhappy

I was told directly by Dr*** that's my overbite would be fixed that is the ONLY reason I went through with Invisalign instead of traditional bracesThe outcome of what my teeth were going to look like after the entire process was shown to me after everything was already paid for and the molds were completeThe conversation I had with the dentist at the time made it very clear that I would be getting the smile that I wanted and I was very clear that I wanted my overbite corrected and my teeth to be straight across the top and then he informed me I might need vaneers to correct the teeth to make them even and I was okay with thatI am no okay with nothing being fixed that I discussed with the dentistThe before and after pictures of the 3D image are almost identical and the overbite actually gets pushed out moreI've disputed this through care credit and my insurance, care credit informed me that they are just a third party to this and my insurance company to go this routeBeing told to just continue with the treatment when I'm not satisfied is not okayI was completely misled into buying this

Due to HIPAA laws, and an ongoing case with our Risk Management Insurance, I've been advised to no longer respond to this
We have done everything according to the California Dental Boards Standard of CareWe have done everything according to the Standard of Care his insurance requires us to abide by and they set very high standards we must abide byAs well as the financing company has also reviewed this case
So there will be no further response by myself or Powers Dentistry regarding this case
