Review: I made a reservation with Powers Inn Mansion and was then forced to cancel due to an emergency. I called and let them know. They informed me that there will be a charge for cancellation and that I will receive a refund of 150.00 within 10 business days. It has been over three weeks and I have yet to receive my refund. I have tried calling numerous times, left numerous voicemails and have yet to get a person. Very unprofessional. All I want is my money back as soon as possible.Desired Settlement: I want my refund of 150.00.

Company states: She made a reservation. Booked it on a credit card. She lost her CC or something happened. She had to get a new one. She cancelled her reservation that posted to the card. She never got it because it was cancelled and never told us. So we met her husband at the store and provided the check.

Review: Mid October I booked Nov 3rd - 7th at the Power's Mansion Inn. I had a week long training in Folsom and found a great deal through [redacted] for this place in Auburn. When I called to ask if they have those 4 nights valuable [redacted], owner, said yes and to not bother booking through [redacted] because he would honor the price (that way [redacted] does not get a cut, if I had gone through them they would have forced a refund rather than going through Revdex.com) over the phone except two nights at a higher price, which did not make sense based on the [redacted] fine print but I figured such a good deal on [redacted] why not just agree to it. In the end he charged me 3 nights at the gorupon rate and one at the higher rate. I showed up in the evening of the 3rd in Nov., after hours, to a room that was NOT clean. Not just not clean, but in my opinion a health hazard. I even had a friend come by to corroborate what I was seeing. Incredibly dirty, the smell was awful, and the one window did not even open (believe fails egress?). I called the owner who said I could check out another room. I went and saw it with the same friend, who said that she thought it was worse than the first one. Since it was so late I figured I'd suck it up for the night and stay there and get anew place in the am. I woke up with major respiratory issues. When I went to check out (4th) I had to leave a note since no one was around. I wrote that I wanted a refund and to call me. Did not, so I called a couple days later on 6th asking for a refund over a message. No response. I called again on the 11th and he said he would issue a refund. I called on the 19th since the refund still had not shown up. I called again on the 21st and he insisted the refund had come out of his account. I waited out the holiday and called Dec 3rd, two days ago with still no repression. I've given the business over a month to communicate with and refund me.Desired Settlement: At this point I am being given the run around. I would like the refund I am due, the full payment minus one night since I did stay one of the 4 nights. I think this place should be inspected.

Company states: She booked the reservation and wanted to book somewhere. She started to accusing us of all sorts of things. We began to move her to room to room. So she tried to put it all on us. We told her we have a one week cancellation before unless. We do want a happy customer and if something is broken or something reasonable then we are willing to accommodate. It seems that any room would not please her.
