Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not completely resolve my complaint While I appreciate that I am apparently no longer on their call list, given my experience with this business, their unprofessional and insulting first response, and this latest "brush off" response, I feel that having them retain their "A" ranking with the Revdex.com is questionable I consider this issue only partially resolved until their ranking is reducedRegards, [redacted]

Dear ***,I looked up your phone number and name in our call logs and I didn't see any record that we called youAfter a certain amount of time some logs get deleted so there still is a chance we at Powerstar called you but I cannot say for certainSo what I have done is ensured that your number is erased from our call list permanentlyAlso for good measure, I am having a marketing manager have a meeting with the marketers about being respectful on the phone just in case what you said happened, happenedAnyways, I appologize if a company did this to you Powerstar prides itself on only contacting people who have not opted out of our call lists and we do this to the best of our ability Occasionally a phone number slips through that shouldn't haveAlso at Powerstar we do only the best quality of work which is second to none.Thank you, [redacted] Client Services

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.First of all, I resent the implication of error on my part in this response..."...in case what you said happened, happened." Why would I make up such a claim and take the time to file a complaint if it did not indeed happen? This is insulting! In addition, given the frequent calls that I received from this company, even after I asked them to stop calling me, any trust that I have in their internal review is nil Lastly, the empty apology ("Anyways, I apologize if a company did this to you") is hollow and seems insincere Perhaps this communications staff member should be retrained on proper customer service response

I receive sometimes as many as four phone calls a day from this company Most of the calls are hang-ups, but occasionally their calling system connects me with one of their agents The calls are solicitations to hire the company to install rooftop solar, furnace, AC, vinyl windows, and other home renovations Whenever I've spoken with PowerStar agent, I've told him/her that I am not interested, that I am on the "Do Not Call" list, and requested them not to phone me again (And for what it's worth I don't need any of these services.) After saying I am not interested, PowerStar's agents have usually responded aggressively, challenging me to listen to the full list of services again or expressing doubts that I am telling the truth Many of these agents eventually resort to profanity when I ask them to stop calling me I have almost always had to hang up on these people And regardless of my requests to be removed from PowerStar's solicitation list, I continue to receive phone calls from them
It surprises me that Revdex.com has not received more complaints about this company Their aggressive and persistent telemarketing tactics are about the worst I have ever experienced When I looked at other rating services, like yelp.com, it became clear that this company engages in disreputable, if not illegal, tactics in an effort to strong-arm business from home owners

A company representative knocked at my door wanting to talk about replacing my roof or painting my house I agreed to meet the next day for a estimate and was pressured to have my husband at the estimate as well I told the rep that my husband wasn't available to come to the appointment and they would have to deal with me The company called minutes later to confirm the appointment and again pressed for my husband to be presentI said they could talk to me or cancel the appointment So they canceled the appointment Talk about questionable practices

Powerstar Home Energy Solutions, we scrub our calling lists against the national do not call list every 30 days as required by law. Occasionally any of the following occurs: There is an error in the...

National Do Not Call Database, a customer submits his/her number to the National Do Not Call Directory between the 30 days provided by law that companies have to update their internal Do Not Call Lists, or a number accidentally slips through our system.  Powerstar never has complaints on the work provided, and we pride ourselves on this. There are however, a lot of moving parts with our marketing lists as mentioned above, and we do our best to ensure that we do not call people on the Do Not Call Lists.

Thank You,

Powerstar Home Energy Solutions, and I was also the project manager for the Torrey's window project. In the customer's statement Powerstar sold them a complete HVAC, cut in system and 2 windows and one front entry door, through the HERO program but we didn't end up using the HERO program and went through customer's own reverse mortgage instead. The total combined costs of the 2 projects were, $24,760. Again, I was the initial project manager for the windows portion of the project and I personally signed the HERO financing with the homeowner. We signed hard docs and we brought a second copy for the homeowner to keep for their records and I personally advised them to keep a copy in their file folder we left with them for their contract documents and agreements. I will attach any and all documents to support that the company followed the contractual agreements and did in fact go through the HERO program, including signed HERO completion certificates for both projects as well as a screenshot from the HERO portals webpage showing that both projects have been funded through the HERO program. There is discrepancies to the validity of this said complaint for several reasons, one the complaint references purchase price of $30,000, but in fact the combined costs of both projects were $24,760. The company could not have used the customer's reverse mortgage funds to pay off the project. This allegation is false because the company does not have access to go into a customer's personal bank to request funding through their reverse mortgage to pay off the project, and certainly without the homeowners present for that kind of transaction or any documentation to support that kind of transaction change in writing. Since this complaint has come across, I have also made several attempts to reach the client via cell and home phone and left 2 messages as well without a response. The company will be happy to be exonerated of the allegations as to the company using the customer's personal reverse mortgage funds to pay for both projects. The complaint is also false due to the fact when you have a reverse mortgage, there are no payments which means you cannot "default." In which the body of complaint says customer is now in default due to using reverse mortgage funds for projects. If customer decided to pay their project loans to the financing company on their own recognizance, Powerstar was not made aware of those actions. Please call me if you have any questions I am free to help in any way I can in regards to this matter. [redacted]. (I have also CC'd my team in regards to this matter as well as a representative of the compliance department for HERO finance company.)
