Review: Powhatan Ready-Mix was contracted by my contractor (whom I’ve had a working relationship with for nearly a decade) to provide a colored concrete product. Upon completion of the project the color does not match the color ordered. It cured a salmon pink and cinnamon brown was ordered. The tier of color that I paid for was in the top tier. It has since been 42 days since Powhatan Ready-Mix was initially contacted. They initially ignored all communication for three weeks. After that time we were finally able to get the quality control manager Dan to the sight. He verbally acknowledged to my contractor that it was not right. In a later communication with my contractor Dan had offered to provide sealant for the concrete, which would give it a wet look and be darker and closer to my originally intended color. Both my contractor and I agree that this is the cheapest fix they can offer, and it is not a fix that will allow me the maintenance free option I was looking for when I paid for a colored concrete pad. Along with the provided sealant the representative from Powhatan Ready-Mix also offered my contractor a “very good price” on his future order if the sealant option was chosen, essentially offering a bribe to put a Band-Aid on my incorrect concrete job! In the past two weeks still trying to get a resolution we have let them know that a complaint was coming if a real solution was not offered. They have now had one week with no response to us, other than the original email alerting Dan again to know there is an issue. Salmon pink is not the color I paid for, and a sealant is only a temporary fix.Desired Settlement: I first and foremost would like to have my concrete pad repaired to the correct color, not via sealant. I would also like a 100% refund for the charge of the color additive for the concrete, and I would like a partial refund for the concrete material for now having to wait over 42 days for a resolution and being completely ignored by Powhatan Ready-Mix.
