Customer came into shop for c. u axles and exhaust manifold as well as other items on 3/26/14 mileage on car 307, 261.  Customer returned on 4/3/14 had defective axle replaces mileage 308,014.  Customer returned on 9/12/14 had cracked manifold mileage 322,280. Copies  of invoices sent...

for inspection.  Our labor is guaranteed 90 days or 4000 miles whichever comes first.  It is printed on all our invoices.  This is a pretty standard labor guarantee for independent shop.  We always guarantee the parts for however long the manufacturer this will vary from 1 year to lifetime depending on part.  The car had 8 days and 753 miles when axle failed so cost wasn't charged labor.  When the manifold failed car had been driven 5 months and 15,019 miles so customer was charged for labor but part was free.  He was told we would summit a labor claim on his behalf for possible reimbursement. Customer was also in shop on 7/9/14 mileage 316,420 for cooling system work and no mention or notes of manifold issues.

Review: Had new [redacted] put in and one of them was faulty. I thought the mechanic was great as they replaced them for no charge and they worked fine. Went back in a month or so later and they replaced the exhaust manifold. The manifold cracked within 30 days and they charged me 100.00 in labor to replace. I thought that it was odd since they didn't charge me for the first crappy part they put in. I told them on the spot that I wouldn't come back and the front desk then said they would submit a claim and refund me any returns. Well I never heard back until I called and they "magically" had a refund of 54.00 - just enough for me not to sue for the remainingDesired Settlement: They could refund me the remaining 46.00 that was charged for labor on a part under warranty.
