[redacted] dropped off an instrument cluster out of his [redacted] to be repaired and after our engineering department assessed the cluster it was confirmed that the cluster had been tampered with and damaged by [redacted] and needed to be exchangedAt that time the customer was notified that they would need an exchange cluster and the price was $plus tax and that the milleage would be programmed [redacted] at that point gave Powl's the OK to order the exchange cluster asked the service writer to EXPEDITE his order and was willing to pay extra to have the instrument cluster quicker AND AT NO POINT ASKED WHAT THE COST EXTRA WAS! Powl's honored our discount that was told to [redacted] and ONLY charged him $ 101.25.00 plus tax which came out to a total of $107.32 to program his 2000 [redacted]. On 03/10/2016 [redacted] was notified by phone that his vehicle was finished and ready for pick up and his total was $ 107.32 and [redacted]'s response was a question if everything worked and Pow's response back to him was yes and [redacted] responded back that he would be in to pay his bill and at NO POINT QUESTIONED THE PRICE and asked if it was ok to leave his truck there and that he would be by later that day.Powl's Closing statement is this.Powl's Inc. has been in business since 1928 and prides itself in providing its customers in the community and around the globe in professional and exceptional service. The owner of Powl's Inc. drove 120 miles and 3 hour roundtrip to pick up the part he needed for [redacted] to get his vehicle back to him in an EXPEDITED REQUEST and [redacted] was provided ABOVE AVERAGE SERVICE and at below dealer level pricing or for that matter below any repair facility pricing or service. Powl's Inc. honored our discounted rate of programming his vehicle and Powl's Inc. honored his request for EXPEDITED SERVICE Powl's has done everything to satisfy [redacted]'s request. Powl's is providing both invoices, invoice # [redacted] totaling $371.00 STATING ON THE BOTTOM OF THE INVOICE THAT THE CLUSTER WILL NEED TO BE PROGRAMMED BY EITHER THE DEALER OR POWLS TO START And invoice # [redacted] totaling $107.32 showing that Powl's honored our discounted rate of programming and ONLY CHARGED WITH TAXES $ 107.32 INSTEAD OFS185.50 WITH TAXES SAVING [redacted] $78.18.Powl's Inc. has gone above and beyond to take care of [redacted]'s request and feels no wrong doing has been done.

Review: I took my car in because the speedometer was intermittent. I took it in for the first time in 2012, because my mechanic recommended them. They are supposedly an expert in electrical issues. It cost me several hundred dollars, and they had my car a full day. As I am driving away from the shop, my speedometer needle goes dead. I took it back to them on July 10th of this year for the same issue. This time, I didn't get my car back for a day and a half and it cost me $363.23. Now the lighter did not work. The heat doesn't come out when it is set for floor. The max. Setting of the air conditioning produces less A.C. then the regular setting. The speedometer and fuel gauge are still intermittent.When I discussed getting a refund with the manager, he told me he wasn't going to give me a refund. He kept talking over me and would not listen to my complaint. He then proceeded to tell me I was difficult, "because I dropped my car off the night before and wanted it back by 3 pm". I take care of my elderly parents, and I have health issues, so there are alot of dr. Appts. I cannot be without my car for a day and a half.If they were the only electrical shop in PA, I would take my car out of state.So, in closing, I have taken my car there twice, for the same problem, costing me about $600. I am still having the same problem I had two years ago and the mechanic/manager was extremely rude with me.Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund of the money I paid them, as no matter what time they spent working on my car, I still have the same issues and I will have to get it fixed AGAIN, some place else. I Can't give you the exact amt. Of both bills, due to a fire in the building, I don't have access to the first bill. This last bill was for $363.23.Thank you for your consideration in this matter.

In reference to [redacted],First Visit to Powl's Inc. INVOICE #[redacted]. Her first visit was on 04/02/2012 for an intermittent speedometer issue. We test drove the car and couldn't verify the complaint after scanning the vehicle for fault codes Powl's found a fault code for an intermittent speed sensor. After notifying [redacted] of our findings she opted to replace the sensor.Second Visit to Powl's Inc. INVOICE # [redacted]. Her second visit was on 07/09/2014 27 MONTHS LATER, with multiple complaints this time with intermittent fuel gauge, speedometer and clicking noise in shifter this time. Upon diagnosing the car Powl's Inc. found multiple wires chewed up by a rodent and repaired the wiring and replaced a coolant sensor for the temperature gauge as that was not working, not the fuel gauge, as stated in the furnished repair order.Third Visit to Powl's Inc. INVOICE # [redacted], Her third visit was on 07/22/2014 for her cigarette lighter not working. The diagnoses was a blown fuse. Powl's Inc. replaced the fuse as stated in furnished repair order.In closing, [redacted] contacted Powl's Inc. on 09/30/2014 and demanded she receive a full refund because she stated the speedometer was intermittently not working again and that Powl's Inc. was a horrible repair facility. After notifying [redacted] that she would not be receiving a refund she said and I Quote we're the worst [redacted] shop out there and she was sending us to the Revdex.com and the District Attorney's Office. Powl's Inc. has been in business since 1928 and has been doing so because of our quality and commitment to customer service and our quality of work and training. I am also sending along our warranty policy that is given to every customer when they get service at Powl's Inc. Our policy state we give the industry standard in warranty and that is 1 YEAR OR 12.000 MILES ON THE COMPONENTS THAT WE REPAIR OR REPLACE.Sincerely.Ricky P

In response to Powl's email. I still think I should be reimbursed. They specialize in Speedometer work, yet they were unable to fix my speedometer. Beyond, taking it there three times, they were rude to me because I wanted a refund. I paid alot of money and received NOTHING in return. Is this where we are in this country? Outright, stealing people's money? What did I get for my money? that's the bottom line. That's the question you should be asking?
