Hello my name is Michael *** and I am the owner of ColorCraft AutoBodyI
am writting to you in response to the letter that I recieved from the Revdex.com of Northern Indiana ( case # XXXXXXXX) regarding *** *** complaint*** came to ColorCraft AutoBody looking for a desent paint job for a good priceAfter looking at her vehicle we came up with a price that made her happyThe amount of the repairs came to $5,and out of that came the charge($400.00) to remove and reinstall most of the windows and new rubber gaskets, $to paint the wheels on the vehicleWe prepared the vehicle for paint and the vehicle was paintedUpon arrival at the shop to pick up the vehicle *** noticed a few flaws and we made the necessary repairs to correct those flawsUpon attempted delivery of completed repairs *** and her husband found additional flaws and ColorCraft Autobody completely repainted both sides of the vehicle to make them happyThe paint job and repairs on the vehicle were done at a discounted price to keep the cost down per the customers requestA show quality paint job can range anywhere $10,- $15,In an attempt to please these customers any repair/ repaint were done at no expense to the customerEvery attempt that we made to satisfy the customer failed because they just continued to find flaws and wanted everything fixedNow rememeber that the customer did not want to pay for an expensive paint jobNumerous attempts were made to resolve these issues and nothing seemed to make them happyWhen the vehicle came into ColorCraft for repairs the surface/paint was in not very good conditionAfter painting the whole vehicle and the owners inspection we ended up having to strip both sides down to the bare metal in an attempt in satisfy *** and her Husband and all of that work was absorbed by ColorCraftColorCraft AutoBody has done everything that we can do for *** and her vehicle to make this issue correct, but no matter what we do Her and the price she paid we are unable to make her happyWe have alot more time and material in this job than the original estimate was written for and none of those expenses were passed on because are goal is to do the best that we can do with what we have to work with

I brought my vehicle to ColorCraft and the estimate the owner gave me was to have all of the exterior paintedAt no time was it agreed or ever discussed that I was seeking a mediocre jobThe estimate states a complete exterior refinish and does not reinforce any claims by the owner that I was looking for anything less than quality workThe owner claims that the vehicle was not in good condition when I initially brought it to themThis is not true and I have pictures of the vehicle in it's original condition that I have forwarded to the Revdex.comThe price I paid was for a complete exterior refinish per the estimate that was given to meEach time the vehicle was given back to me there were glaring defects that no professional in this field would be proud of nor am I pleased with these resultsThe vehicle has been brought to ColorCraft five times and problems still remainThe last couple of times I brought the vehicle back to be fixed, I had to argue with the owner to work on it because he tried to refuse to fix the problems with itQuoting the owners words, the vehicle was never prepped or painted correctly the first timeWhile there are some improvements, there are still many issues in the paint jobAfter all this time and conflict with this business, I fail to see how I got my money's worth and I am still left with a poor paint jobPinholes in the paint, over spray, ghosting, chipping paint, and orange peel are still present and are unacceptable on any paint jobThe owner's statement that he has more time and material in this job than what the estimate was originally for is due to the poor workmanship of his own businessIt is not my fault that the vehicle was not prepped and painted right the first time the vehicle was brought to themIf this business would have done the job right initially, then he would not have had to spend more time and material to redo the jobThe owner's response does not state how he would remedy this situation which is consistent with how dismissive he has been with my concernsI stand by all claims I have made before and now and have various forms of proof to back up said claims
