Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:

This letter is in modification to the original complaint filed against Fairless motors on 02/11/2015. This additional information would like to be added to the complaint as follows. On 02/14/2015 I took the above vehicle to Fairless Motors for repairs to the busted/leaking struts, missing transmission stick, and blown running light and front head light right side. The repairs were completed by Fairless Motors service technicians. The time of service was approximately from 9am to 3pm. After an all-day event, the service mechanic returned the truck to me and said that all work was complete. Because I have had better an ill experience with Fairless mechanics in the past, I inquired about the transmission dip stick and he said that he had no knowledge of the need for the stick to be replaced. I spoke to Tommy (sales man) several days prior and he said that he himself would order the stick and that it would be in when I come in for the repairs. Nevertheless; te stick was not there. I asked Tommy about the stick that he should have ordered and he kindly shifted the responsibility on another worker there at Fairless. At this point this service guy attempted to recover a stick from another vehicle that was of similar model to mine. When he attempted to install the dip stick it would not fit properly in the transmission component. The service technician said the reason that the stick would not fit was because part of the original dip stick was broken off inside of the reservoir in which it sits. He then returned the truck back to Fairless Motors repair shop down the street and said the problem would only take 15-20 minutes to repair. Over an hour later, and after multiple attempts to get answers from Fairless staff as to why a 15-20 minute dip stick installation was taking so long, no one would answer my question, I was given meaningless chit-chat and occasional avoidance the remainder of my wait. Finally my tuck was returned to me again; the mechanic said that he installed the sick and that the problem was not that the piece had been broken off inside, but that the stick from the similar vehicle was too long and did not fit. Still suspect that it took the mechanic over an hour to figure that out, I went on further to inspect my truck prior to leaving. As I approached the truck with the mechanic he instructed me that my “service suspension light was illuminated” I asked him why? And he stated “I did repairs to your struts, therefor the light comes on, give it a couple of days for the system to recycle and it should go out. If not bring it back to me, I will pay for your gas, and I will fix the problem”. I responded to him as follows……” what you are saying to me sounds suspicious, but I will give you the benefit of the doubt. Although, if the light does not go out I will not be returning to Fairless for any additional repairs”. I notified Fairless of the "service suspension light" being present and of the mechanics instructions. They noted what I said that day and I took the truck back to Delaware. Monday I took the truck to [redacted] (a local service shop) and inquired about the information Fairless mechanic gave me in reference to the "service suspension light'. [redacted] stated “the information I was given is not true, and that it is highly unlikely that the light will come on because of a repair, and that most likely he damaged another part or failed to replace a part such as a sensor which may cause the light to come on”. I called Fairless on 02/16/15 and spoke to Tommy, to inform him that the light was still on and of what [redacted] had said. He said he was not aware of the issue and was told to tell me to bring the truck back in so the same mechanic can fix it. At this point I refused to return the truck to the mechanic there at Fairless because he has failed to properly fix my truck before on several occasions. Prior failed attempts by that same Fairless mechanic to fix my” service engine issue”, “oil sensor issue” , “02 sensor issue” and “the disruptive noise from the front tire issue” is reason ENOUGH not to return that truck to Fairless mechanics. After several attempts to let Fairless mechanics try and fix the problems, which all failed, I requested that the car be sent to professionals at [redacted] to fix the truck. And they did, all except the noise from the front, which turned out to be where we are currently today with the issue of busted struts. I was instructed by Tommy (salesman) and Don (owner) to file a claim to the warranty and tell them the problem happened the day we spoke so that the warranty would fix it. I refused because that would be placing a false claim. The issue was present when I purchased the vehicle and I noticed it then. (Warranty will only cover if you report the issue the same day it was found) . I would like to note that the warranty does not even cover struts and shocks therefor; the fraudulent claim wouldn’t have gone anywhere. From Saturday (the day of repair) till today (02/18/15) the light is still on. I contacted Fairless and informed them of this event. I was instructed that the light was still on because the mechanic forgot to replace the sensor Don asked me to bring it back and that the senor would be replaced. The next day I informed Faisless that the light was not the only issue, and that I could hear a rough noise still coming from the what appeared to be the front . I was informed the noise I was hearing was because the wrong struts were put on the car. T fix the problem Fairless agreed to retrieve the vehicle and have it repaired by there mechanics AGAIN! Tommy came to my home on 2/28/15 picked up the truck to be repaired. I was told that Tommy himself went and purchased the struts and that this time for sure the problem will be fixed. Upon leaving my home Tommy gave me a friendly quote....." See you wanna know the problem with used cars....their used" and he proceeded on his trip.Tommy dropped off the truck later that evening on the same day. Tommy stated that the truck was fixed and there should be no other issues. On On 3/1/15 9am I got in the truck and "service the suspension light illuminated!! UNBELIEVABLE!!!! I called Tommy and all he said was "wow". After Tommy notified Don relentless issue. Don had the nerve to ask me to bring the car back to him AGAIN. I refused! Then Don asked me to take it to a [redacted] dealership here in Delaware and that he would pay the diagnostic cost. I did as he requested. Diver [redacted] inspected the car and noted that the car was in bad shape and that it immediately need front struts 1242.00 and rear shocks 1,100.00, inaddition too many other things but because the cost were so high for the current problem the mechanic focused on what needed immediate repair and wanted to save me money. Diver [redacted] also said that the struts were so bad that they were shooting out oil, and that someone disconnected the sensor on the right strut ( maybe to keep the light from comnig on? no Fairless would never do that). I notified Don and he said that Diver [redacted] were liars and that the truck was fine. Don did not even pay the 69.00 diagnostic fee he promised to pay ( I have all of Tommys text that state Don would pay these fees), I had to pay the fees myself because they would not let the truck leave without payment. Don said he would send me a check later as of today 03/26/15 I have not received payment. At this point Don wanted the truck to return to him, he promised that he would sent the truck back this time to [redacted] to have them look at ( I take that the Diver [redacted] here in Delaware wasn't good enough?). Tommy again pick my truck up from Delaware are took it back to his dealer on 3/19/15. My truck was suppose to be fixed and returned by Monday 3/22/15 and was not. I was told by Tommy the truck had arrived at [redacted] on 3/19/15 to start repairs. I heard nothing from Fairless from 3/19 to 3/23 in which I placed a call to Tommy to check the status. Tommy siad "it will be done today their working on it as we speak 3/23" after no word as the day began to close I called Tommy again and asked what time I could expect the truck, he said " oh, they didn't order the part yet, you truck wont be done today".......( this guy just told me that the the truck was being worked on). I formed Tommy that I had to return the rental car I had been using, Tommy said that Don would pay for the additional cost of the rental and asked for the rental cost. I extended the rental for 2 additional days until the truck would be ready. On 03/24 I was told that the truck was still in for repair and that it would be ready on3/25. At this point I dropped off the rental and picked up the truck from fairless. I was told that the truck was repaired and that all should be good. I took my keys and asked Tommy where was the promised check for the Diver [redacted] diagnostic fees and the additional rental car cost? I was told that Don was out sick and that he is the only one who can write checks. Tommy handed me a repair receipt from [redacted] in which he claimed did the repairs (not [redacted] where he said the car was being fixed earlier) and I drove away in dismay. Upon reaching home, as I pulled in to my drive way...There it was the noise....I quickly became apparent to me that Faisless was at it AGAIN. I called [redacted] and inquired about the work that they had done on the truck. [redacted] said they did not repair anything on my truck and that the only service provided was a diagnostic that cost 115.00 and that the truck sat in their shop from 3/20 to 3/24 untouched. [redacted] also recommended a small paragraph of repairs the truck needed in addition to the front struts and rear shocks, [redacted]'s repair slip states that the customer (Fairless) declined all repairs. I notified Fairless that I was aware of there deceitful shenanigans and that I will be seeking further action. I got an immediate call from Rick (co-owner) asking that I do not take this anywhere. Rick feels that the attempts to fix my truck rather failed or successful are a courtesy, he feels that because the issues are not covered under warrenty that I have no right to expect them to fix anything. I would like to point out that most of these issues were present when I purchased the car, and other issues appeared after their inexperienced mechanic tried to fix it and caused more problems. In fact Fairless said that if I were to seek and action it should be against his mechanic! I would like to add that last night 3/25/15 after work I turned on the car and the light illuminated saying " oil low, add oil". I just got a full oil change on 2/09/15.. Where did my oil go? Out through the busted struts is where it went. Now I have to pay for another oil service. I have given Fairless more than enough attempts to provide me with a truck that is worth $33,222.96. This is the total cost of the loan at the end of contract. This car is defective and unsafe to drive. Fairless has lived up to their name with the unfair, selfish and disturbing behaviors. This truck has additional issues that need to be addressed and I feel that Fairless cannot be trusted to fix the problems. [redacted]
I would like to be given a vehicle that is worth what was paid for.
Regards,
[redacted]

December 21, 2017Dear [redacted],This is in response to a complaint filed by [redacted] Case #[redacted]. [redacted] purchased a 2016 [redacted] from our dealership on 06/16/2017. This purchase was 6 months ago and this is the first time we are hearing of this complaint....

All of our vehicles sold come with a spare tire and they are checked before delivery. We have no reason to believe this vehicle was sold any differently; however, as a show of good business, we have no problem giving [redacted] a spare jack if she can stop by our dealership to pick up* We would ask that she coordinate a date and time with our service department so that we can be prepared. If you have any questions or need anything additional in regards to the closing of this matter please call Rick at ###-###-####. Thank you very much for your assistance!Thank you, Kick G.Vice President

Review: I went to trade my car in which I owned was a 2004 [redacted] at Fairless Motors I was told my car would cover the down payment for the new car but then a check was asked to be given for tags and registration I said OK but got home and realized that was a little high so I called the dealership back about the amount of the check which was for $1000.00 the sales rep. tells me that half of is was also for down payment that was not fully explained at the time. The sales rep. Crystal was on the phone and rushing to leave work so nothing was fully explain till I called. Once crystal left I was passed off to another sales rep. So after calling about my concerns I was told someone would call me about it, no one ever called so I called a few days later to just get yelled at by another worker a man at the dealership saying it was fully explained, and saying I'm not making any sense , and just yelling. After that a woman got on the phone by the name of Cheryl she told me to bring something in towards the 1000.00 and they would take it from there, and I told her I have a few concerns because I feel like I got over on my car should have covered it all and it was worth more then what they gave me for a 2004 [redacted] ion. I was told I only received 500.00 for the trade. It's not fair they took advantage of and fast talked me. I feel like I should have received more for my car. This was my first time doing something like this, it seems like they were just trying to make the sale instead of satisfying the customer.Desired Settlement: The 1000.00 for down payment because my car that I traded in should have covered everything. A reasonable amount for my trade put towards my new car.

Review: I purchased a 2004 Lincoln Aviator from them in March of 2013 and the car has been in the shop a total of 15-20 times already and I had to spend over $1400.00 already in repairs that should have not have happen so soon, this company does not service cars before they sale them to customers. While at their mechanic shop my 5th time I met another person that was having problems with her car as well the mechanic says that Fairless does not get their cars check out when they purchase them they just sell them. September I had to replace 8 cylinders and plugs $723.00 and 3 weeks later had to replace 2 hub bearings and a axel rod $703.00 now not even a week since last repair car is not working have to replace another hub bearing. The month of March car was at mechanic every Saturday. this car has been not running more than I have been able to drive itDesired Settlement: I would like for them to refund me the money that I had to put into this car or exchange it cause this car is like a money pit. Or repair the car up to standard

Review: I purchased a car less than a year ago from Fairless Hill Motors, which I have to say was a wonderful buying experience overall. Given my buying experience, I began referring other friends and associates to your dealership as they were looking to buy new automobiles as well. However, after my recent referral I will no longer be referring anyone to your dealership nor will I endorse buying an automobile from your establishment. Just to give you a quick recap of the situation, I referred [redacted] to your dealership since she was interested in purchasing a pre-owned [redacted]. This was my first referral to your dealership, and I received no referral bonus payment for this sale as I just wanted to ensure that [redacted] purchased a reliable car from a good dealership. My second referral, which I was paid for, was when [redacted] purchased an automobile from your dealership. According to Floretta, she purchased a [redacted]. I did receive a referral for her purchase from Fairless Hill Motors. Unfortunately, I only received this bonus payment after agreeing to pay an small debt that [redacted] has incurred with her deal which was not even a deal that I was part of at that time. Unfortunately, I should have stopped referring people to your dealership when this first occurred; however, I continued with the hopes that your employees would operate in a fair, honest manner. The reason for my letter is to address a referral bonus payment issue in connection with an automobile purchased by a colleague of mine, [redacted]. [redacted] purchased a [redacted] from your dealership based on my good referral. Upon her walking into your dealership first thing she mention was [redacted], and that I, [redacted], referred her to Fairless Hill Motors. When [redacted] returned back to work she so was extremely happy about the car she purchased based on my referral. After finding out she was able to purchase a vehicle, I waited a few days and then called your dealership to ask to Anthony,Desired Settlement: I would like my referral bonus paid to me. Which I was told to come in the following week after going back and forth with the dealership. After going in on Wednesday October 8th, to pick up my referral payment I was told Anthony the sales person called out sick and he needed to be present. The receptionist took down my name and number and advise me he would call upon return. The following day no call, I finally called and was getting the run around. Was ask who's calling & repeatedly put on hold

Review: I purchased a vehicle on 3/28/13 a 2004 Chrysler Crossfire from [redacted] in [redacted]. I did cash transaction (down payment) for $3,100 and $9,550 was financed. The transaction was completed on 3/28/13 but I was not able to test drive the car after the transaction because it was not on the lot. The dealer [redacted] who sold me the car told me that he had to call the mechanic because the car had to get brakes and it had to be detailed. He told me to come back on Friday 3/29/13 because the brakes were low and I couldnt test drive the car. The car was not picked up on Friday due to fact that it was not done and they did not contact me. On 3/30/12 I went to the dealership to test drive the car and pick it up prior to me picking up the car it had no gas in it. I had to ask them to put gas in the car they put enough in there to be test drove. I spoke with the owner about there being no gas in the vehicle and he gave me $40.00 out of his pocket and about the other issues pertaining to the vehicle he contacted the mechanic they had a conversation and he wrote on the back of his business card told me there wasn't nothing he could do about it come back and schedule an appointment to get it fixed. I noticed that the car had ** tags but [redacted] inspection stickers (pictures) he the mechanic they called told me that I had to drive it for a few days before he could give me ** inspection and gave me a receipt following it stated that I could come back in 10 days and get the car inspected. The left turn signal did not work at all he took the housing off of another vehicle 2004 Crossfire and put it on mine. There was no oil in or on the dip stick he told me it was enough oil in that particular car and it was okay. I drive off the lot and went to [redacted] I paid $102.00 for and oil change on 3/28/13 I have the receipt. On Sunday the check engine light comes on and I took it to [redacted] for a diagnostic test It read that I have a Oxygen Sensor defective and pressure of MAF Mass Air Flow) Sensor. While driving it there was hesitation and shaking after putting my foot on the gas. The car did not come with a spare tire. The car also needed a drive cycle which I did not know until I took it to [redacted]. The windshield wiper reservoir had a hole in it. I drove the car back up to the dealership and gave the key back they told me that they would fix the car but I had to leave it with them for a few days I didn't have the option of being refunded for the $3,100 and that they would fix the vehicle and order the parts I would have to leave it for a few days. I voluntarily gave him the keys and said no deal they knew prior to selling me the car that 1 it was not on the lot and 2 that it wasn't going to pass inspection so why was it sold to me anyway? Do I have a case considering the fact that the car had issues before I brought it and could not pass inspection?Desired Settlement: I would like the $3,100 dollars to be refunded cash because it was a debit card purchase.
