Prado Auto Sales Reviews (2)

I purchased a 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt SS from Prado Auto Sales on 3/13/2014. It had a crack in the front windshield and noise that was coming from the suspension. When I got home my father told me that they legally couldn't sell an unsafe vehicle and that it should not have passed a North Carolina inspection. I contacted Prado Auto Sales to ask if they could resolve the issues the car had on 3/14/2014 and 3/15/2014 and was told that they would not do anything about it.My father, [redacted], ** contacted them on 3/15/2015 and spoke to [redacted] who said he was the owner. My dad told him that we planned to file a complaint with North Carolina Inspections Department and the Revdex.com and that the car passed the North Carolina inspection fraudulantly, [redacted] said that he would take care of the broken window and the noise that was coming from the suspension. Prado Auto Sales took care of the broken front windshield but didn't take care of the problem with the suspension.I tried numerous times to contact them and have not received a returned call. I had the car checked at [redacted] and was told that it had blown shocks which is not safe. At this point I have no other choice but to file a complaint with the Revdex.com to assist in resolving the bad business dealings of Prado Auto Sales.Product_Or_Service: 2006 Chevrolet CobaltOrder_Number: [redacted]Account_Number: XXXXXXXXDesired SettlementI would either like Prado Auto Sales to repalce the front shocks or provide me with a certified check to have the repairs done myself.Business Response Mr. [redacted] purchased a vehicle from our lot on 3/13/2014. The vehicle had passed NC inspection prior to the sale of the car and we have the inspection on file. Apparently the vehicle had a crack in the windshield due to the car being parked near the road outside on our lot. After the purchase of the vehicle we replaced the windshield. The customer complained about the shocks on the vehicle, our company agreed to have them fixed, however as we were waiting on the mechanic, Mr. [redacted] became inpatient and decided to come and get the vehicle and fix them himself. To our knowledge the customer had no further complaints. Please contact us directly at (XXX) XXX- XXXX for any further questions. Thank you. Consumer Response Prado Auto Sales had my car for over 2 weeks stating that after the front windshield was replaced it was with a mechanic to assess the problem with the front suspension. After numerous calls for status of the work being done on my vehicle the story changed, they advised that it would be another 3 weeks before they could have their mechanic take a look at my car. I subsequently picked my car up from their shop and stated that I would have someone look into the problem, not repair it and to advise when they would be able to have their mechanic complete the required repairs.I work a 9 to 5 job and needed the vehicle to get to and from work. The total time frame that Prado Auto Sales would have had my vehicle after being told it would take another 3 weeks for their mechanic to look into the problem would have been 5 1/2 weeks without the use of my vehicle. That is not good customer service and the only reason Prado Auto Sales agreed to address the problem with the front windshield and suspension problem was after they were advised of my plan to file a complaint with the Revdex.com and North Carolina Theft and License Division.I was told by [redacted] that both of the front shocks were blown and that the car needed front rotors and breaks something that a North Carolina Inspection would not have allowed the car to pass. As of this date I have not heard from them which is the reason why I had to file a complaint. The most equitable solution would be for Prado Auto Sales to honor their agreement to repair the vehicle which should have not been sold in the condition it was in. It's not good customer service sell unsafe cars to the public in hopes that they will not file complaints or lawsuits against them.I truly hope that all of my time and energy spent filing complaints and responding to Prado Auto Sales responses will result in them doing the right thing in repairing my vehicle in a timely manner.

I purchased a 2006 Honda Odessey on 6/27 from Prado and the A/C needed to be fixed. I have not received the car as of 7/22/and keep getting excuses. After purchasing the van on 6/27/14 with the understand in writing the the A/C would be fix as well as an oil change and a minor exterior fix, I have had the hardest time getting in touch with [redacted], the salesman. The company did provide us a loaner which we are hesitant to drive due to liability concerns. We were under the impression that we would have the van a few days. It has been almost and month and [redacted] keeps giving me an excuse every week as to the problem such as his wife had a baby and the repair shop ordered the wrong part. I confronted [redacted] on Wednesday July 16th after not having my called returned and he stated we should have the car on Tuesday July 22nd. I have not heard from [redacted] and I have called the dealership several times and the message box is full. We paid the dealership with a check for $7000 and I believe we are getting the run around with [redacted].Desired SettlementI am seeking a full refund or a replacement with the vehicle that we currently have that meets my family's need. We have driven the van (2007 Honda Odessey) and we are comfortable with the vehicle. If this becomes a legal matter, I will be seeking punitive damages as well.
