In reference to the complaint let me start by saying that our firstservice call was to install a new kitchen faucet and to have a look at theboiler that was not firing up right Our service tech checked the gaspressure coming in and it was below what was needed for proper operation ofthe burner after discussing issue with home owner it was discovered thatthe propane tank was low on fuel and the gauge actually did say it wasempty our service tech instructed them to call to get a delivery and toget the regulator checked to ensure proper pressure is being delivered tothe burner which they didWe were then called that night saying everythingwas all set and we sent our tech at 7am to fire off burner and everythingwent ok A bill was sent for $for the faucet install and the burnerservice which subsequently to this date has not been paid I also did callthe propane company, [redacted] last week to verify what was done to theregulator and they confirmed that it was indeed replaced and that the gaugeon the tank was bad reading empty After a month we were called for anemergency on a Saturday morning for a no heat issue and that problem wascorrected , adjustments to the way flame was burning and payment was made tothe on call service tech for $ approx to days later we werecalled again for a no heat issue and we sent a tech out and he determinedthat the gas valve on the boiler did need to be replacedOn site our techcalled and got a price for the valve and presented it to the home ownerwith the option of having it shipped over night or regular delivery , theprice that was given was $plus installation and shippingThe homeowner then told our tech that he would discuss with his wife and get back tous , he was instructed by our tech if he wanted next day shipping to pleasecall by 4pm so we could get the part the following day The homeowner didcall after discussing it over with his wife and told us to get the part andto have it over night shipped which we did , unfortunately the part didarrive the next day late in the afternoon but we could not get there untilthe following day because all service techs were tied up on emergencies .Wecalled home owner and made arrangements for the following dayWe installedthe valve and payment was made to the tech from the homeowner for $840.00and a burke and sons job invoice receipt was given to home owner marked aspaid in full A week maybe two later after the boiler was repaired wereceived a call from the home owners wife demanding us to give her thereceipt for what we paid for the valve and that she had found it on linefor a lot less and that she has every right to see it and that we did notgive her a receipt at all ,she also said that she paid for the overnightdelivery but had to wait days insteadI did say we could not get therethat late afternoon because valve arrived at pm and the tech who workedon it was tied up During my discussion on the phone with her she becamea little unreasonable after I asked her why after your husband agreed to theprice are you calling to say you could buy the part on line for a cheaperprice and not once during our earlier discussions with the husband only wasthis ever brought up to us at all .I must admit that I was getting a little worked up myself and may havebeen a little vocal with her as was our tech who called her first, earlierin the week and she was as demanding with him also , she was very adamantthat she get a receipt for what we paid for the item when I turn told herwe do not do that nor does anyone else to the best of my knowledge Iasked her if she went to purchase piece of sheet rock at the building supplywould you ask the manager to produce a receipt for what they paid ? herresponse was if I ask them the will! I do think that that will not happen .After reviewing all invoices I will agree to refund the price of theovernight shipping cost which was $that was included in the totalprice of the valve and to forgo the late payment of $that has notyet been paid for work that was performed in October on invoice # forthe faucet install and the burner service I do agree that they areentitled to money back because it was only days after the overtime weekendcall that this happened and the overnight price should have been deducted.Thank you [redacted] Burke and Sons Plumbing & Heating Inc

In reference to the complaint  let me start by saying that  our firstservice call   was to install a new kitchen faucet and to have a look at theboiler that was not firing up right . Our service tech  checked the gaspressure coming in and it was below what was needed for...

proper operation ofthe burner  after discussing issue with home owner  it was discovered thatthe propane tank was low on fuel  and the gauge actually did say it wasempty.  our service tech instructed them to call to get a delivery and toget the regulator checked to ensure proper pressure is being delivered tothe burner which they did. We were then called that night saying everythingwas all set  and we sent our tech at 7am to fire off burner and everythingwent  ok . A bill was sent for $230.25 for the faucet install and the burnerservice which subsequently to this date has not been paid . I also did callthe propane company, [redacted] last week to verify what was done to theregulator and they confirmed that it was indeed replaced and that the gaugeon the tank was bad reading empty.   After a month  we were called for anemergency on a Saturday morning  for a no heat issue  and that problem wascorrected , adjustments to the way flame was burning and payment was made tothe on call service tech for $ 142.50  .  approx 4 to 5 days later we werecalled again for a no heat issue and we sent a tech out and he determinedthat the gas valve on the boiler did need to be replaced. On site our techcalled  and got a price for the valve  and presented it to the home ownerwith the option of having it shipped over night  or regular delivery , theprice that was given  was $550.00 plus installation and shipping. The homeowner then told our tech that he would discuss with his wife and get back tous , he was instructed by our tech if he wanted next day shipping  to pleasecall by 4pm so we could get the  part the following day . The homeowner didcall after discussing it over with his wife and told us to get the part andto have it over night shipped which we did , unfortunately the part didarrive the next day late in the afternoon but we could not get there untilthe following day because all service techs were tied up on emergencies .Wecalled home owner and made arrangements for the following day. We installedthe valve and  payment was made to the tech from the homeowner for $840.00and a burke and sons job invoice receipt was given to home owner marked aspaid in full  .  A week maybe two later after the boiler was repaired wereceived a call from the home owners wife  demanding  us to give her thereceipt for what we paid for the valve  and that she had found it on linefor a lot less and that she has every right to see it and that we did notgive her a receipt at all ,she also said that she paid for the overnightdelivery but had to wait 2 days instead. I did say we could not get therethat late afternoon because valve arrived at 330 pm and the tech who workedon it was tied up.    During my discussion on the phone with her  she becamea little unreasonable after I asked her why after your husband agreed to theprice are you calling to say you  could buy the part on line for a cheaperprice and not once during our earlier discussions with the husband  only wasthis ever brought up to us at all .I must admit that I was getting a little worked up myself   and may havebeen a little vocal with her  as was our tech who called her first, earlierin the week  and she was as demanding with him also , she was very adamantthat she get a receipt for what we  paid for the item when I turn told herwe do not do that nor does anyone else to the best of my knowledge .  Iasked her if she went to purchase piece of sheet rock at the building supplywould you ask the manager to produce a receipt  for what they paid ? herresponse was if I ask them the will! I do think that that will not happen  .After reviewing  all invoices I will agree to refund the price of theovernight shipping cost  which was $60.00 that was included in the totalprice of the valve  and to forgo the late payment of $230.00 that has notyet been paid for work that was performed in October  on invoice # 51806 forthe faucet install and the burner service . I do agree that they areentitled to money back because it was only days after the overtime weekendcall that this  happened and the overnight  price should have been deducted.Thank you[redacted]Burke and Sons Plumbing & Heating Inc.
