Initial Business Response /* (1000, 13, 2015/05/19) */
RESPONSE TO MS. [redacted]'S COMPLAINT:

Prairie Rose Training Center (PRTC) accurately represented the Thoroughbred mare we owned and trained, [redacted] (barn name "[redacted]"), to [redacted], in both our advertisements and direct...

communications.
Ms. [redacted] had ample opportunity to examine [redacted]'s suitability for their purpose with a professional before choosing to sign a contract and paying for her.
After examining the horse with a professional trainer for 2. 5 hours (including [redacted] being ridden by her daughter and videotaped), having the horse independently vet-checked, making shipping arrangements, signing the contract and paying for [redacted], Ms. [redacted] changed her mind and refused to take delivery 48 hours before we had agreed to ship the mare. Ms. [redacted] immediately engaged an attorney, suggested PRTC's reputation would be damaged if we did not refund her money right away and began filing consumer complaints against our business.
Ms. [redacted] claims information from [redacted]'s previous owners is the source of her rejection of the horse. Previous owners' experiences with [redacted] are irrelevant to PRTC's ownership, training and sale of the mare 1) because we have accurately represented [redacted]'s skills and behavior during our 18 months of training and ownership and 2) any previous need for an advanced rider was never communicated to us or included in any of the sales materials drafted by her former owner (see attached).
PRTC has tendered full performance of our contractual obligations. We continue to try to resolve this dispute with Ms. [redacted] but have not yet reached an agreement. We have also retained an attorney to assist us toward that end.
I have attached timelines of the events, relevant emails and supporting documentation, including a copy of the signed contract and the previous owners' sales materials.
Please feel free to contact me directly with any questions.
