The day Mr. [redacted] dropped off his equipment we were short handed.  This left one of our Mechanics to check in equipment for repair.  This is not a regular position for the mechanic so he did not ask for the required deposits upon receipt of the equipment.  The reason we require a...

deposit (have been since 2014), is because too many people would bring in their equipment for repair authorize us to repair the units then not pick them up afterwards.  (Please see attached documents for more detailed narrative and photograph of deposit policy.) We have thoroughly researched our labor rates to compare them with other facilities as well as the national average.  Our shop labor rates is parallel with that of others in our surrounding areas as well as below the national average for labor rates.  So we are not over charging our customers.As far as Mr. [redacted] repairs, His husqvarna repair was completely within reason for repairs and would have be well worth it in most peoples opinion.  As my employee stated he did not request a call prior to work being completed.  So the repair that was within reason was completed and the repair that was not cost effective received a phone call first.  Of which Mr. [redacted] declined the repair of the Troy Bilt.  With that being said, He owes us $20 (I reduced this price for customer courtesy) diagnostic for his troy bilt that he declined the repair. As well as, $80.60 for the repair of the Husqvarna.  We will remove the carburetor off the Husqvarna if Mr. [redacted] so chooses.  The final bill on the Husqvarna would remain the same at the $40 minimum.  If the customer so desires to pick up both units unrepaired his total would be $60 for both.  If he chooses to pick up the troy bilt unrepaired and the Husqvarna repaired then his total would be $100.60.
