Pre-Owned Car Reviews (6)

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

They are giving a false statement, We tried to make several attempts to make payment they refused. The person we spoke to that no longer works there each time said [redacted] or mark refused to accept payment. we never met [redacted] until we went for our plates nor did he try calling us. They ONLY CALLED A FEW TIMES, the rest was us. I have on recording from the finance company stating that pre owned car company said we never paid down payment that's why it was repo. We never skipped any time. And given false statement that we were evicted is not true. our lease was a month to month bases. and the office knows not to give our information out. customer confidentially. any real business owner knows that. Pre owned car company is a company I will never go back to or recommend to anyone. That truck was breaking down and had a leak which they refused to fix.  WE WANT OUR MONEY BACK. we were also never given the option to take ownership back that's a LIE! all they wanted when we came for our stuff which they went thru and took some paperwork was the keys, At first they even refused to give us our stuff until I threatened calling the police then we were able to get it. They are unprofessional people.

Regards,

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I was never contacted about the vehicle I was the one contacting them and everytime I called I got that "[redacted] is busy...or with a customer....or out and will return your call" that never happened. I had to wait 2 weeks from when I called about vehicle to have it picked up. When I finally was able to talk with [redacted] he said they would not work on the vehicle until they got the money, they wanted 700 for repairs and the rest of the down payment. They told me it was a busted water pump and clutch. I only had the vehicle for 3 days. Regards,

[redacted] and [redacted] purchased the 1999 Nissan Frontier on 7-28-2014. The total down payment for the 1999 Nissan Frontier was $1250.00, at the time of purchase customers decided to put $750.00 down and have a promise to pay an additional $500.00 down due 8/16/14 bringing the...

total down payment to $1250.00. The $500.00 promissory note was due on 8/16/14, I myself tried contacting the customers multiple times informing them they were past due, left multiple messages on [redacted] and [redacted] phones, wrote past due letters to the address [redacted]. #[redacted] which is the address given by customers at time of purchase, only to have the mailed notices returned. I myself drove to the address given at time of purchase to inform them they are delinquent only to find out that they have been evicted from the apartment complex per apartment manager. [redacted] and [redacted] failed to inform Pre Owned Car Co their change of address. Their first car payment of $375.92 was due on 8-27-2014, customers made partial payment of $200.00 with a promise to pay the additional $175.92 the following week. Car payment was never paid in full. Unable to make contact with either [redacted] or [redacted], Pre Owned Car Co hired a repossession company on 9-08-2014 to skip trace [redacted] and [redacted] to repossess the 1999 Nissan Frontier because their loan was now in default. The repo agents made contact with [redacted] and informed him the vehicle was out for repossession and that both payments had to be made in full, both promissory note and the car payment. After repo agents made contact with [redacted] came to dealership on 9-16-2014 to pay the remaining down payment money of $500.00 that was past due. Pre Owned Car Co was charged $200.00 by repo agents for skip tracing and making contact with [redacted]. Pre Owned Car Co and [redacted] made an agreement, a signed promissory note for $200.00 that was to be paid on 9-23-14 to cover the cost of the repo agent and made an agreement to have first car payment be paid in full the same week. The signed promissory note was never paid. Again tried multiple times reaching out to [redacted] and [redacted] again leaving multiple messages trying to work with them, still no returned calls. Vehicle was repossessed on 9-26-2014 for non payment. [redacted] and [redacted] came to dealership to collect their belongings and were informed of why their vehicle was repossessed and was given a chance to redeem. Both [redacted] and [redacted] refused to redeem the 1999 Nissan Frontier.

Best Regards,[redacted] Pre- Owned Car Co

We tried reaching out to you and your husband numerous times. I wanted to get this matter resolved it wasnt until the repo agents contacted you the first time that your husband came into the office. If you were to make good on your payment and actually have them paid ON TIME, none of this would be happening. I apologize if you think different. If there were anything wrong with the truck I would have be more than happy to have any problems repaired. If you are still interested in redeeming you truck please contact me directly. [redacted]

The dealership has tried to contact the customer plenty of times, left numerous messages. I myself has tried contacting the customer, left messages still no returned call. This account is now in default, promissory note is past due as well as first payment. Please contact me directly if you will like to make arrangements on redeeming your vehicle. Thank You,[redacted] ###-###-####

This 2004 Mitsubishi Lancer was in perfect working order at time of purchase. Customer test drove the vehicle and no complaints were made at time of purchase. Days after purchase customer called in stating that vehicle has broken down. The dealership contacted a towing company to pick up the vehicle...

and bring it to the dealership. Dealership found that vehicle needed a new clutch and pressure plate after the point of sale. The dealership does not warranty the clutch or pressure plate after the point of sale of the vehicle, but decided to fix the issues with the vehicle. The General Manager has tried contacting the customer numerous times letting the customer know that the vehicle has been repaired. Customer has not returned any calls. In order to release the vehicle, the loan needs to be current. As of now the customer is in default. Attached is a copy of the promissory note that is signed by the customer agreeing to pay the remaining balance of $500.00 that was due on April 11, 2015. Total down payment for vehicle was One Thousand Five Hundred Dollars, $1500.00. Customer needs to be current on loan, As of today May 8, 2015 the loan is in default of $372.07 past due. Customer has defaulted on loan, which will lead to repossession. Please contact me directly to get the loan current. Thanks,[redacted]
