Air Control used predatory pricing practices to unfairly charge customer by the job rather than by the hour, at the outrageous rate of $445/hrfor AC repair The two hour warranty work was billed as $ When challenged, manager was rude and *** over the phone and refused to listen - continuously yelling and talking over me - but finally offering to reduce bill by $- bringing the hourly rate down to $370/hr- still an outrageous rate for this type of service Providing a job "estimate" and not an hourly rate times the number of hours is a devious way of inflating the final charge Their original "estimate" over the phone was $- and having dealt with them previously, I believe anyone would assume they would bill by actual hours I did not sign a contract for this repair, and was shocked that they would attempt to take advantage of a past customer in this way Any reputable business would price a job like this by the hour and insist on a signed contract before beg
