Regarding complaint ID 11614301.On the same day we received Mrs*** rejection to our response my men were already at her house. We went out and pulled out heater and coil. Sealed all ductwork and reinstalled heater and coil with all new gaskets and rebuilt plenum and sealed all ductwork in closet making unit sealed and air tight

I am rejecting this response because:I really appreciate your efforts to try and fix my defective new Air Conditioning system, but the problem is still not fixed. Lucas, the service technician you sent out last week said the thermal expansion valve was stuck causing the unit to malfunction so he added oil to the system and said it would take two days before it would work properly. It's been four days now since the oil was added, and there is still severe condensation all over unit in the closet causing mold that is making my son sick. Lucas also said the unit was overcharged and he removed some refrigerant. The air conditioning system also runs all the time, which Lucas said was due to sticking of the thermal expansion valve.

In response to your email reg***ing *** *** - *** *** StLumberton, TX 77657.We (*** & I) have read the complaint against our company, and the customer called service technician out on overtime He ok'd the repair and wrote a check for payment
The $was for overtime call out fee which does not include any repairs, any repairs cost extra on overtime if customer wants them done. He pointed out he found the same thermostat listed online on various sites for between $- $100.00. This is what they list for not sell for He did speak with *** the following Monday and was given a $credit applied to his account in the computer. We cannot give him the extra $credit he is requesting. He must realize this was done on overtime rates NOT regular hour rates. We are a flat rate company, where we charge by the job not by the hour, so whether it took him minutes vshours, it still cost the same.Thank you,*** ***Precision Air Company

As per phone conversation with *** ***: Precision Aire Cosent a representative out on 10/26/The technician found existing copper lines kinked in the atticThese were repaired as best as possible for the momentThe technician analyzed all systems, checked all temperatures and pressures, and adjusted the refrigerant chargeThe technician noticed that the attic was excessively hot (degrees on an degree day)We at Precision Aire Coare formulating a detailed plan, along with *** at *** *** *** **in Beaumont, to resolve the issues at Mrs***' propertyWe would like to execute the plan within the next - weeksIn resolving the issue, it will be necessary to begin working at Mrs*** property starting at 8:30am on the appointed work day, as it will take several hours to execute the planWe will reach out to her for schedulingHowever, if she would like to call and schedule an appointment before we are able to reach out, she can reach us at *** ***.Additionally, Precision Aire Cowill extend the labor warranty through Septto ensure that all the equipment works during the hottest part of the yearThe warranty will be issued upon completion of the job

[redacted] would you please re-open my complaint #11614301 with Precision Aire. The air conditioning unit is still not working correctly and [redacted] with Precision Air has not returned any of my multiple phone calls sine 9/27/16.  Tosha in the office says she delivers my messages, but [redacted] is not calling me.  Lucas the service technician was not able to get the unit working properly and said the next step was to send a Trane Representative to my house to look at the Air Conditioning unit, but [redacted] has not scheduled them to come.  The unit has never cooled properly, runs constantly, and continues to sweat causing mold in the house.  My son is still very ill from the mold due to the faulty air conditioning system. Thank You[redacted]

I am rejecting this response because: I would like to keep this Revdex.com complaint open until the A/C unit is properly fixed. The air conditioning system is likely not going to perform properly when the weather gets hot since nothing was done to permanently fix it.   The only change has been colder weather.   The unit has not functioned properly since it was installed.  They did take measurements, but nothing was done to fix the air conditioning unit/condensation problems, and the copper tubing that is kinked outside by the A/C unit is still kinked and needs to be repaired correctly.    The previous unit did not have condensation problems or mold issues.  Until I got the Revdex.com involved, I didn't get any of my phone messages returned (thank you Revdex.com).  The less than one year old air conditioning system has had "attempted repairs" nine times in the past year.  I await Trane or someone to fix the unit and ensure it works properly during warmer weather.

Reg[redacted]ing Mr. [redacted], [redacted], Lumberton TX 77657:The only other option we can offer is to send customer a $50.00 check or apply a $100.00 credit to his account in our computer.  The prices he is referring to is what we would pay for the thermostat, NOT what we would sell it for.  Plus he called our technician out on a Saturday which warrantied overtime rates.  This is the reason his bill was a little higher than normal.  We hope to resolve this issue soon as possible.Thank you[redacted]

I have discussed this type of Mold problem with several other a/c companies and this is an industry wide this year because of all the rain.  I have asked Mrs. [redacted] the name of the mold company she used so we could contact them and discuss the issue with them and as of today she has not given...

us that name.     I sent someone out several times and have tried to satisty her each time.  We were out in July of 2016 and resealed everything.  She was  not happy with that and made us come back out there and remove the tape.  We tried to explain to her that the unit comes from the factory and the refrigerant lines and wire lines come from else where and hook up to the unit so there will be space where those lines come in and the only way to seal them is with tape.  She responded by saying she did not want tape on her unit.  The day she tried to contact me I did receive one of her messages but was extremely busy and was trying to get to her call and before I could do that she contacted the Revdex.com. I am confident the a/c system is not the source of the mold.

I am rejecting this response because:I filed a complaint #11614301 and received a note today that my case was closed. The message went to my junk mail instead of my inbox so I did not get a chance to respond till just now. Can you please accept my response since I just now got your message. The A/C unit that Precision Air installed continues to leak air at three places on the unit in the closet causing condensation and mold. All Points Environmental did the mold assessment survey on July 6, 2016. They confirmed mold was due to the condensation building up on the top of the A/C unit. I appreciate you trying to use tape to stop the air leakage, but the tape gets wet in a few days and peels off. Cold air is blowing out three distinct fittings on the A/C unit causing condensation in the closet. I would appreciate you getting a TRANE representative out to see if the fittings can be sealed properly and the condensation stopped. My son is very ill from this mold and I please need it fixed. The problem Mrs. [redacted] is having with the TXV is a new problem and is industry wide.  Attached is the letter we received alerting us of the problem.  The valve is bought from a 3rd party and does not only effect Trane systems but all that are listed on the letter.  The protocol to fix the problem is to do as we have done.  First you put oil in the system to unstick the valve.  Wait 3 or 4 days and if this does not fix it. Order and install a new one.  We have ordered a new valve.  When is arrives we will install it.  There is nothing more we can do at this time until the part comes in.

I am rejecting this response because:At the time I called in for service I understood I would pay overtime (132)for the service call but was not told I would additionally pay OT labor for the service a second time Additionally the invoice I received shows labor at 132 and parts at 272; my understanding was I was being charged 272 for the part; that is what the tech quoted as Cost of the part,there  is noIndication on the invoice that any additional labor is being charged . Finally any number of consumerSites, including Amazon sell this part for between 50 and 100. In short I was overcharged for the part And charged twice for OT labor with no Indications a second OT labor charge was added in; again the invoice shows 132 labor and 272 parts.I don't mind paying OT BUT this is clearly not a valid Total expense for the service providedas any reasonable jury of ones peers would conclude
