Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting the response on several groundsThe implication to this response is that if the insurance company covered the treatment, then I wouldn't have an issue with the billThat is unequiviqually falseThe issue here is not what the insurance covered or did not coverThe issue is being charged for services I did not request and, in the case of a Oral evaluation, were not performedIf I took my vehicle to an auto repair shop and asked them to replace the brakes and they charge me for a full diagnotic and transmission flush in addition to the brake service, I would have the same issueJust showing up to your office doesn't give you a blank check to charge me for whatever you feel likeNeither one of these services (X-Ray or Oral Evaluation) were discussed or approved by me Sincerely, [redacted] ***

The treatment that was planned was not for a filling but for a crown and a fillingThe treatment was discussed in and scheduled in because the patient was close to his maximum for the year and wished to wait till they renewedThe reason that there was a bill was because he had paid in
full at the last cleaning that was done on October 21st of and we knew you were close to your maximum, the cleaning that day being the only thing not reviewed by insurance, so waited to see if insurance would pay anything for the cleaning itselfYou were billed as soon as we were notified from your insurance that you had utilized your maximum benefitLoren's sexual affiliation has no bearing on how we treated himHowever, the harassing calls, emails and explosive behavior in our office doesDr *** has never discriminated against any personWe have patients of all different walks and they are all treated with the same careLoren even admitted an the phone he had anger issues which were apparent at his last visitWe tried to call and talk to Loren however he was displeased we would not give him a discount on his treatmentWe sent him a letter that we could no longer see him when it was apparent we had exhausted what we could provide for himWe have done everything in our ability to make his transition to another office smoothIf you wish I can attach the 30+ harassing emails and posts he sent usI would appreciate if there is anything else we can do in this matter

It is standard of care for a Doctor to take a basic radiograph of a tooth to diagnose treatment needed and to make sure there is nothing else going on with a tooth prior to any intervention/treatment or therapy This is standard of care in medicine We cannot have patients just
telling us what is wrong and not wrong That's why they come to us...for our opinions and careIf he has any further questions about what his insurance paid and why he should contact them directly

Just showing up to your office doesn't give you a blank check to charge me for whatever you feel like. Neither one of these services (X-Ray or Oral Evaluation) were discussed or approved by me.
