All our calls are recorded. I went back and listened to this customer's call into our call center. He was quoted a $service fee, plus $75-$to replace cables. The call was booked properly, he never hesitated about booking the call. The customer service rep also told him
if he wanted to cancel the call just call back in and she would cancel it. That never happened. When are technician arrived to the call he found numerous things that needed to be done to secure a safe garage door. For instance, not only did he have a broken cable, but the bottom plates and pins were completely rusted out and needed replaced. He also needed to reset the door and the tension on his springs needed to be released. He was quoted $for the work that needed done. There was no bait and switch going on. We have been in business for over years and out policy has always been to fix the door right and safely. There were safety issues that the customer didn't want to do and we do not put pressure on them to get this work done. We just try and educate them on the safety of garage doors and how they function. The $dollars has always been our service call for going out to customer's homes. This is not a hidden costs by any means. It is clearly stated in all our adds. Again, I have the recording that differs with what the customer claims. Any questions please let us know

The 2nd call I made was where the women was rude and short with meNowhere on the website does it show a $dollar fee for coming out and nowhere in the phone call does she say there will be a dollar charge for coming outShe called it a service fee which in my eyes and others if researched would be part of the service for actually doing somethingAs stated before your company never once in your call stated there will be a dollar charge to come out and look at the doorYou cannot charge people for something and not explain chargesWhat ads show a dollar fee for coming out I see none online or on your website The call never states anything about a dollar trip charge which is what you made me pay You prices where high and because I didn't want the service you made me pay for a minute driveIf evenYou must tell people what they are paying for

We properly took care of this customer.  I stand behind my original note.  I also played back the call he made to our office to complain while our technician was still onsite.  No where in that conversation was anyone rude to him in the call center or our office in Lewis Center.  To be clear, he was never told that if we don't do the work the $55 would be refunded.  That is purely our service call for coming out to assess the problem with his door which is exactly what we did.

I am rejecting this because nowhere on your call does she explain the service fee is to be charged for just driving out. She siad cable costs and service fee that was all. Nowhere does she explain that if our technicians come out that there will be a charge if you do not want work done. Every other company I called states they do eatimates for free and when I told them about this issue they knew exactly what company without me even saying.  I had the entire job completed for 150 dollars from another company in same area. To say your total is 350 dollars more cannot be accurate. Also I did hesitate on the call and that's when she told me I can cancel. Had she stated there would be a charge if we come out and I do not agree to price or work to be done. I would never have had them come out.  Nowhere in your recorded call does she explained this. It would make perfect sense to explain all charges that one would expect instead of just stating service fee. I had no idea that there was more issues but to just charge 55 dollars to drive to a house and quote a high price and leave is awful. Not to mention when I called the customer service was rude and had no sympathy for the issue. You must explain all charges on would have. You cannot use words like service fee and expect someone to take that as a trip charge which is how we tell our customers at my place of work. We also tell them if they do not have work done they do not get there money back.  Nowhere was I told this.
