Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2016/07/21) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
The truck being "factory" has nothing to do with it it's still a Toyota body and drive trainPrecision on asked once if I wanted a piece and not one of the time I have ever been there have they said anything about a warrenteeIf running a one piece is that dangerous then they should have said something that it wouldn't be safe on the road when I told them that it is still going to be driven on the streetThey lied about balancing the drive line and still areI HAVE THE DRIVE LINE WITH PROOF THERE ARE NO BALANCING WEIGHTS, that's why your "year expert" was trying to walk off with the driveline when I turned around for a secondWhen I stopped him and told him I'm keeping the line he held his head low and I could tell what he was trying to doThere is no way the line was welded together from different pieces of metal and it was already balancedI never said I don't care I wanted a once piece and you said it will be strong enoughSince *** owns a driveline shop he should know that truck of all makes and models can run a piece driveline so his defense is invalid
Final Consumer Response /* (4200, 11, 2016/07/22) */

First off *** has no idea what's in the truckSecond the driveline is either in or or not so the matter of me putting it in had nothing to do with itDriveline a are installed only one wayHow else could a diverting be installed? Bolted in or bolted in?It's really funny how he keeps claiming it was balancedThen why was it that was off when I hit 65mphThe truck was recently back on the roadRegardless of what axles are under it they were out of a Chevy truck so that means the axles are very well capable of going on the highwayRegardless of the trucks state has nothing to do with that fact that the line was not balanced and failed on the high way nearly flipping the truck and causing the line to almost be implanted in the trucks windshield behind meThere is no way the line "was balanced" with no weights on itI have the line still as proof
Final Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2016/07/22) */
*** knows their was no warranty. He installed his own driveline so we have no idea how it was installed. So I and my guys are not responsible. We have no idea if it was installed improperly.*** does not have factory drivetrain it has a one ton front and rear diff.We can go on and on about whose responsible.I have owned the shop for years and never had a comeback on a driveline that we installed. And yes the driveline was put on the balancer and did not need any weights it was perfect when *** took the driveline. If it wasn't then why did it last months????????????? Sincerely *** ***

I got a custom driveline from precision drivelines in Carson City. On July 16 I was driving to [redacted] on highway 95 and their driveline folded underneath my truck at 65 miles an hour. When the line folded it broke off and sent the rear end of my truck about a foot into the air but maintained to bring the truck to a stop without rolling over flying off the highway. The moment when the line Phil from underneath my truck it nearly went into my friends windshield was following behind me he managed to swerve off the highway also at 65 miles an hour. After looking underneath the truck at the damage done the exhaust was smashed into the frame of the truck and also destroyed my transfer case and cracked the transmission case. I further inspected the driveline and then realize that there were no weights put on after they welded all the pieces of the driveline together. So that means that the line was never properly balanced before they sold it to me and told me that they balanced it. The following Tuesday I have the truck towed to precision shop in Carson city where I had their driveline "expert" look at it and took my contact information and had his manager call me at a later time. While I was at the shop The guy I was talking with tried to take the driveline and dispose of it but I caught him and kept the line before he could do so. A couple of hours later that Tuesday the owner gave me a call and claimed that since the truck had previously had a two-piece and change it to a one that they recommended iced stayed with a two-piece and that they cannot warrantee it. They had never told me that it would be unsafe to use a one piece since any truck can run a one-piece driveline they tried to tell me that my truck which I know is untrue.before I had to make the line I made sure that they knew what it was going under in that it would still be driving on the road at a high rate of speed so I needed it to be balanced. Since their carelessness they almost caused an accident and won't fixProduct_Or_Service: DrivelineDesired Settlement I would like them to pay me back the $600 for the driveline and since they failed to balanced it which cause my transfer case and transmission to be destroyed possibly another $2000 to cover the expenses to get the truck running again. Sincerely [redacted]Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)The truck being "factory" has nothing to do with it it's still a Toyota body and drive train. Precision on asked once if I wanted a 2 piece and not one of the time I have ever been there have they said anything about a warrentee. If running a one piece is that dangerous then they should have said something that it wouldn't be safe on the road when I told them that it is still going to be driven on the street. They lied about balancing the drive line and still are. I HAVE THE DRIVE LINE WITH PROOF THERE ARE NO BALANCING WEIGHTS, that's why your "30 year expert" was trying to walk off with the driveline when I turned around for a second. When I stopped him and told him I'm keeping the line he held his head low and I could tell what he was trying to do. There is no way the line was welded together from 3 different pieces of metal and it was already balanced. I never said I don't care I wanted a once piece and you said it will be strong enough. Since [redacted] owns a driveline shop he should know that truck of all makes and models can run a 1 piece driveline so his defense is invalid. Regardless of what axles are under it they were out of a Chevy truck so that means the axles are very well capable of going on the highway. Regardless of the trucks state has nothing to do with that fact that the line was not balanced and failed on the high way nearly flipping the truck and causing the line to almost be implanted in the trucks windshield behind me.
