This customer had significant damage to their vehicle from and accident or hitting something while drivingShe had the opportunity to speak to our service adviser and he informed the customer it wouldn't be covered by aftermarket items she purchased at time of saleThis answer didn't suffice for the customer so she was directed to the service manager *** [redacted] informed her the contracts she purchased was for paint less dent removal and road hazard tire protectionThe customer felt like the dealership should pay for the repairs because the contracts she purchased although they are not made for insurance type claimsThe customer is aware and has been contacted multiple times by ***We did have a phone issue with a transition to our service BDC and that has been resolved as wellThank you

For your reference, details of why I am rejecting this response appear becauseThe response from the dealer is completely false! The whole reason for filing this complaint was because NO ONE would call me back regarding my options for service I was never given an opportunity to speak to ANYONE in the service department UNTIL I filed this complaint and THEN the Service Manager, *** *** called me for the first time! I did NOT hit anything and was NOT in any accident This damage was done by a POTHOLE and the contract says cosmetic damages ARE covered if you have the GOLD OPTION...which I DO!! The damages are NOT significant! Bottom Line: Feldman Kia of Novi has a horrible service department and they are lying now to try and weasel out of an obligation That Multi-Shield contract was sold to me by the Finance manager and now they are even willing to try and get the damages covered The service manager even told me "it only costs $to buy the service contract...why would we cover damages that cost any more than that"? She also told me that the estimate is "$1,400, but once it's (car) up in the air...you can bet it'll cost a lot more than that" Unbelievable!! They're out to get the insurance company's money as well!!! Refund me the $I paid for that ridiculous service contract....that'll resolve this issue

[redacted] brought her KIA Soul into the service department for a body shop estimate to begin a claim for front end damage caused by a pothole. She will need a new front bumper cover, and possibly a headlamp assembly. We did not lift the vehicle, so there could be supplemental damage underneath as well. She was confident the damage would be covered under her Tire & Wheel contract she purchased along with her vehicle when it was brand new.  I called the Tire & Wheel company who told me explicitly that in the contract, the verbiage about “cosmetic damage” was purposefully contained under the sub-heading of ‘Tire and Wheel Coverage’. Meaning, any cosmetic damage to the tires and wheels would be covered, and nothing else.
