Please conduct business with Matt J. at your own risk. In February 2016, I had an initial meeting with Mr. J. to complete an inspection and formulate an itemized price list for my home remodel. After more than two months of failed promises from Mr. J. to begin working on my home remodel and provide the itemized price list, I scheduled a time/date to return my house key so I can get other quotes from other sources. When I arrived at our meeting, I found that Mr. J. was present with his construction crew and had begun working on my home (without my consent) that very morning. Mr. J. never provided me with an itemized price list, written contract or a Notice to Owner, which is legally required. Mr. J. told me that he hadn't started the remodel earlier due to bigger money projects and he would finish the complete home remodel within 8 days to which I objected. At that point I did not want to do any more business with him. Mr. J. also decided to change and increase the price of the gutting to which I refused to accept. He verbally stated a lesser amount weeks earlier and his new pricing was dependent on an indefinite amount of hours. After Mr. J. agreed to go off of the originally agreed upon pricing, he stated it would take 1.5 days to complete the gutting but when he invoiced me at the end of the week, he said it took 4 men, 5 days and 37.5 hours to gut a home barely over 1K square feet! That's right-one thousand seventy-four square feet! Mr. J. never advised me that the gutting was taking longer than the agreed upon to complete and he tried to bill me for other labor not previously authorized ($400 worth). He also did not complete the gutting as previously agreed weeks earlier; opted not to remove the garage dry wall. The last shocker was when Mr. J. began harassing me at work with texts and emails demanding full payment within 24 hours or else he would charge financial penalties when he knows I live out of town. I reminded Mr. J. that he should've been as diligent at completing the project as he was at billing.

Precision Foundation Specialists placed six steel piers under our concrete foundation. I called the owner Matt J. out to our house on three different occasions about the house moving and bricks cracking, doors sticking. His response was there is nothing wrong. Our bricks cracked, and the plumbing lines started backing up. The tiles on the floor started cracking. Instead of digging one of the holes by hand they decided to run over the exposed tree roots with there machinery. They tore the bark off of the roots, which caused the tree to get a fungus growing on the roots. A tree arborist stated the tree will end up dying from the damage done to the tree. Another foundation company came out to look at my house and said I needed to get a lawyer. I was the third house he had looked at in one week that was damaged from work performed by precision foundation specialists...
