Precision Home Pro, LLC Reviews (3)

I am disappointed to see such bad reviews for Precision Home Pro I feel that whenever you are working with a company it is important to “clearly” communicate your ideas, thoughts and concerns “throughout the project” There are bound to be disagreements along the way but remaining understanding of the “agreed budget” constraints, being open to suggestions and compromise from both parties results in great work! The contractor Joe Fink that you have hired is “a professional” and deserves better Joe’s company welcomed all of my requests, discussed all options within my budget with me and all decisions were made together Of course, I don’t know all of the issues but if you failed to communicate, made design changes and/or expected them to read your mind I find that to be unacceptable on your part They are very willing to work with homeowners to make sure they are happyMy experience with Precision Home Pro was exceptional! We lived in our home during the construction with two children and two dogs and the very skilled tradesman were all very respectful and polite My project was a huge success and I have already recommended Precision Home Pro to others looking for quality workers to work on their homesMy project involved creating a Family Room by building an addition onto to the existing kitchen and sunroom of my 1950’s Bungalow I am very pleased with both the professionalism of the company, the hard working tradesman and the quality work of the final product My Project Manager John made sure that I was able to get the quality finishes that I wished for while staying within my budgetI had many items that I had wished to personalize and Joe was open to my input from day oneAnd together we created:
-a new large beautiful kitchen open to a family room with hardwood floors throughout
-a cleverly designed recessed desk nook our family computer
-the 5’ x 9’ walk in pantry of my dreams! Made complete with floor to ceiling shelving and a swing door for carrying in groceries with my arms full!
-A new 1st floor laundry room suite with pocket door to close it off from the hallway-A Double French door leading out of the Family Room onto my existing deckMy new addition blends seamlessly with the character of my Bungalow and has made our home more functional and beautifulThank you to Joe, John and crew!

My fiancée and I were told working with Joe Fink, at precision Home Pro, would be an excellent experience, and was highly recommended by Fifth Third BankWhat started off to be a pleasant experience, ended in disappointment through lack of detail, and unprofessionalism through correspondenceAs work was done to our newly-purchased home, it became even more obvious that the professionals hired to complete the jobs either lacked the experience to provide quality work, or simply did not careFirst, I will point out the professionals, who completed work for Precision Home Pro, who did excellent jobs
Jeff - Just Rite Plumbing
Completed all work required, and even caught some issues that other professionals did notFound eight gas leaks in my home, and fixed them all for a reasonable priceHe even installed a gas line for our drierI found a gas leak on the line, and he came out same day to resolve itThere were other complications that came to light, but Jeff did his best to ensure I was taken care of - Hard to find these days
John - Precision Home Pro
John was the "project manager" of the work that needed to be completed in my homeOriginally, Joe Fink was working with me to communicate the work that needed to be done, but failed to return my calls in a timely matter, and failed to answer a great deal of questions with satisfactory answersJohn picked up the pace, got the work done quicker than Joe Fink could facilitate, and helped restore some of the faith toward the situation
Now, I shall explain the nightmares that soon became this rehab project
Before major work began on the house, the original house inspector, Precision Home Pro, and myself all missed a detail outlined in the paperwork regarding the mold remediation that needed to be completed on my houseWe were, originally, quoted for deep-cleaning the carpetsOnce the mold remediation began, to my dismay, they removed ALL the carpet in the house! After re-checking the originally-provided documentation, it was clearly stated that the carpet would be removedThis same paperwork was provided before the rehab costs were finalized, so it COULD have been caught, but everyone failed to recognize thisI take part of the responsibility, because I had access to the same documentation, and should have noticedHowever, I'm also not the individual getting paid the big bucks to be on point with this information, and Joe Fink (without hesitation) took half the responsibilityHowever, when it came time to replace all the carpet, he most certainly was not willing to accept half of the cost to do soIn fact, prior to closing out on the rehab loan (when all work was completed) he attempted to MAKE MONEY on the situation! We ended up hiring Home Depot to complete the carpet install, and not only did I not end up with all the carpet being replaced (Costs were too expensive) but MrFink felt justified in trying to turn a profit on a situation that was half of his faultWhen confronted with my feeling toward the situation, I was replied with a state along the lines of "I'm entitled to make a profit, aren't I?!" Well, MrFink, of course you are! However, being a professional myself, I don't dare to attempt to make a profit on a situation me, or my company, is partly at fault for! That's bad business, and it became clear (quite quickly) that the profit was all Joe Fink was concerned about, hereHe refused to split half of the carpet costs, and I ended up breaking even after having to use my contingency funds, that I should not have had to use in the first place
Once all the work was completed on the home, and it came time for Precision Home Pro to receive their check from the bank, I was hounded (roughly every 1-hours) by MrFink via numerous phone calls, texts, emails, etc...that I needed to sign the check, in order for him to cash itOne day went by, and after I informed him that I had other, work-related responsibilities I had to tend to, he eventually went off on me, stating "This is ridiculous! People are counting on you to get paid for Christmas!" Completely unprofessional, and also not entirely my faultWhile my signing of the check was holding up his end of the process, perhaps if he did business more professionally I would have felt obligated to stop everything I was doing to help himI should also note, that at the beginning of the process, I texted MrFink asking him to call me, and answer some questionsHis exact response was "Sorry, I golf on Wednesdays, I'll get back to you tomorrow"...spoken like a true professional, right?
On to the next nightmare - My furnace, oh boy
My furnace was noted to need service, during the original home inspection, so a licensed professional was sent out to my home (while I was at work) to service anything that needed repairLater, that day, I get a call from John, the project managerEventually, he ends up telling me there's a crack in the heat exchanger, so the heating/cooling guy stopped working on the furnaceBased on the age of the unit, he stated it was not worth working on, and should just be replacedI had no problems with thatBefore ending the call, I was also told that the furnace was disabled for "my safety" and for liability reasons of the heating/cooling guyWhen I return home, that evening, I check out the furnace and notice it looks...differentAfter consulting a close friend of mine, who works for another heating/cooling company, and a quick photo-text later, my close friend informs me that the blower motor is missing...I check all around the furnace, in the basement, it's no where, gone! The heating/cooling guy took my blower motor, without my permission, which essentially is stealingWhen I call this heating/cooling guy, he claims to have taken the blower motor so he could :find a suitable replacement, and match it" which is interesting, considering I was told immediately that the entire furnace should be replaced...I began to smell a scam, and immediately started consulting other heating/cooling companies for quotesI ended up working with Sal's Heating & Cooling, who gave me a great deal on a 96$, dual-stage, variable-speed furnaceAfter expressing these concerns toward my experience with their shifty heating/cooling guy, MrFink offered to charge me nothing for the "inspection" of my furnace...gee, how nice of you! I had every right to pursue legal action, considering my home was left without heat, nor did I sign documents stating I agreed to my furnace being disabled - All standard practices in the heating/cooling trade, I might add
That last, most memorable issue I had with precision home pro, was when the electrical work was completed on my homeThey had electricians come to the house and add GFI units, where they needed to be, and also replaced broken outletsWithin the process, one of the electricians did not connect one of the outlets properly, which was on a series, and it just so happened that series was on the same line as the fridge in my garageCan you guess what happened? Within a day, everything in the fridge got warm, and ruinedI was forced to through out close to $worth of food, beverages, and miscitems we kept in the fridge, as we were waiting for our newly-purchased fridge to arrive, for the kitchenWas I compensated for that? Nope
Now, months after the work for my home has been completeI'm noticing little things, here and there, that were completed poorlyMy master bathroom's shower door was not fixed properly, they just drilled screws through it, to keep it attached, but it's still loose, makes rattling noises anytime I close the shower
Tiles were replaced in my home, and small piles of grout were left in corners, by walls, etc...to dry, leaving dry-mounds of grout all over my kitchen
Concrete was laid down around my porch, steps, and driveway - filling cracks that could be tripping hazardsSome of the cracks were not smoothed out, which (essentially) is still a tripping hazard
The biggest issue - I found a baseball-sized hole in my foundation, leading into my house, that was never caught! Now, I'm left to finish the task myself, and also hope that small critters didn't make their way into my home for the winter
What makes this process even more excruciatingly terrible, is the fact that I have reached out to Fifth Third to express my concerns toward this experienceNo returned phone calls, no returned emails - So, it's pretty obvious, between both parties, that once they have your money, who caresI plan to speak with someone, at Fifth Third corporate, soon
Do yourself a favor, if you proceed with a home loan through Fifth Third, which that experience is pretty painless, DO NOT WORK WITH PRECISION HOME PRO
Did they do their job as required? YesWas it exceptional? NopeWould I recommend them? Not if my, or my family's, life depended on it

Words cannot adequately describe the incompetence of this company, under the direction of owner Joe F[redacted]. Fifth Third Bank recommended them to us a year and a half ago. Yes, it has taken that long to get our job completed! From the onset, we gave Mr F[redacted] the benefit of the doubt all work would be done in a timely manner. We had several issues to be corrected, the biggest being a water problem in the basement. Firstly, Mr F[redacted] sub-contracted to have half our basement filled with dirt, and a block wall erected to contain this dirt which included relocating the water meter. The water still poured in! Then his subcontractor ran a snake through a pipe to the street, but the snake was too short and the water still poured in. Mr. F[redacted] told us quote "I am befuddled." He wanted to put in another sump pump at an additional cost to us. The windows his subs installed were not flashed. The steps his subs rebuilt had to be done twice. (they "forgot" to put the step lights in!) The paint job was shoddy and never completed. Materials (concrete) was left out in the rain to harden. The coating of the roof was not done. Our front lawn is trashed, delivery trucks drove over it. There was a point where he fired his sub contractor and had no replacement. He did not put posts in the basement to brace the house. The demolition of a garage left us broken glass, nails and small debris, which we had to remove. He, himself, turned off our gas, th[redacted]ing it was the water! Mold remediation was done while my wife was still in the house! Toward the end of this project it was impossible for anyone to reach him by phone...including his subs. He was not paying them and my wife was asked by one of them to order and pay for the materials necessary for him to do his work! Ultimately, Mr F[redacted] walked off the job, th[redacted]ing it was complete and Fifth Third bank designated another contractor to correct his mistakes and finish his work. If you are even remotely th[redacted]ing of hiring Joe F[redacted] and Precision Home Pro...STOP, re-read my review (and others) and search elsewhere! It doesn't matter if your project is a $28,000 one like ours... take heed. Don't be another statistic. He is not qualified to call himself a contractor.
