As we stated we will not accept paying anymore money out, when we thought we were getting good turf by paying $That might be pennies to the company but that is a lot of money to us who our on social securityWe did not ask for a full refund but we do feel we should get a partial payment back, at least $, since we were not told up front when they sold us the turf( our neighbors windows were there already) they should of told us that they might cause a problem, and they did notIf this can't get resolved we will turn this over to our lawyer.

Our client’s concerns and frustrations are understoodWe deeply regret that the customer called repeatedly and that it took this long for us to offer a resolution to the problemIn light of the first call we promptly sent out one of our grooming techs to address the issue but when communication
made it back that the damage wasn’t due to our installation we erroneously departed from pursuing a solution for the client
While we specifically state in our Synthetic Turf Installation contracts that “Precision Landscape Maintenance Incorporated and Eco Turf are not responsible for damage to artificial turf due to copper, or other reflective windows”, and practice bringing the concern up to clients upon our initial consultation, it is hard to anticipate the aspect and implications of neighboring buildings for their potential effectsIt is incredibly unfortunate that in light of all the good faith efforts this homeowner is making to contribute to reducing water use and those of the neighbor in maintaining finishes that enhance energy efficiency there are certain combinations of these elements that are yielding destructive returnsThe manufacturer and ourselves upon meeting the client offered to replace the material at a highly discounted rateThe client was not satisfied with our offer and efforts to meet in the middle even though the damage was beyond our control
We do not think it is fair that ourselves or the manufacturer are responsible to refund the entire project although we sincerely apologize for the lag time in getting the manufacturer and owner out to address the issueWe recommend that the client explore a Turf Guard exterior window film with the neighbor and consider taking us up on our offer to replace the turf at the discounted rate

We sincerely apologize that communications and follwith the client failed regarding this issueWe accept responsibility for the frustration our slow response caused and can sympathize with this incredibly unfortunate and extraordinary circumstanceThe extraordinary circumstances being an inopportune angle/aspect of the neighbor’s windows to the sun intensified by unusually high temperatures that we experienced last SummerWhile our contract specifically warns against damage due to copper or reflective windows and we trust that our clients are paying due diligence in understanding the details they sign to when accepting our terms, we feel genuinely sorry for the client’s situation and have tried to offer the client our best to resolve the issueWhen we met with the client and manufacturer to address the issue we offered to remove the existing turf and re-install new turf excluding labor charges in addition the manufacturer has offered to provide the turf at a highly discounted rateWe believe that we have both made incredibly generous offers since neither one of us is responsible for the circumstances that caused the damage We still recommend that the client work with their neighbor to install a reflection guard material to the windows so that the damage does not happen again
We regret that the potential damage from the neighboring window was not anticipated by our consultants or technicians upon site analysisHad we seen the neighboring window as a potential for this type of damage we would have brought the concern to the client’s attention up front and would have either advised against the turf or explored ways to shield the reflection from the area of turfWe understand that the client is deeply disappointed by our customer service and we truly wish there were a way to go back and pay them the attention they deserved

We sincerely apologize that communications and follow-up with the client failed regarding this issue. We accept responsibility for the frustration our slow response caused and can sympathize with this incredibly unfortunate and extraordinary circumstance. The extraordinary circumstances being an inopportune angle/aspect of the neighbor’s windows to the sun intensified by unusually high temperatures that we experienced last Summer. While our contract specifically warns against damage due to copper or reflective windows and we trust that our clients are paying due diligence in understanding the details they sign to when accepting our terms, we feel genuinely sorry for the client’s situation and have tried to offer the client our best to resolve the issue. When we met with the client and manufacturer to address the issue we offered to remove the existing turf and re-install new turf excluding labor charges in addition the manufacturer has offered to provide the turf at a highly discounted rate. We believe that we have both made incredibly generous offers since neither one of us is responsible for the circumstances that caused the damage. We still recommend that the client work with their neighbor to install a reflection guard material to the windows so that the damage does not happen again.
We regret that the potential damage from the neighboring window was not anticipated by our consultants or technicians upon site analysis. Had we seen the neighboring window as a potential for this type of damage we would have brought the concern to the client’s attention up front and would have either advised against the turf or explored ways to shield the reflection from the area of turf. We understand that the client is deeply disappointed by our customer service and we truly wish there were a way to go back and pay them the attention they deserved.

Review: We bought artificial turf Sept 2014- it cost $8860.00. In Aug 2015-I called to let them know the lawn was melting in streaks, after 16 calls which I have records of-the mfg and the owner ([redacted]) came out on Jan 12, 2016-we were told it was due to our neighbors windows and they could not do anything about it. When they came out the first time to sell the turf they did not say this would be a problem if we knew that we wouldn't of got it. I believe they owe us a refund when it gets hot again this summer it is going to melt more-we are on social security and I believe people should be told about windows doing this before they buy the turf.Desired Settlement: We would like a partial refund of the money we spent- since the problem will just keep getting worse- and we spent a lot of money trying to do the right thing (by saving water) we had a beautiful lawn before this.

Response:

Our client’s concerns and frustrations are understood. We deeply regret that the customer called repeatedly and that it took this long for us to offer a resolution to the problem. In light of the first call we promptly sent out one of our grooming techs to address the issue but when communication made it back that the damage wasn’t due to our installation we erroneously departed from pursuing a solution for the client.

While we specifically state in our Synthetic Turf Installation contracts that “Precision Landscape Maintenance Incorporated and Eco Turf are not responsible for damage to artificial turf due to copper, or other reflective windows”, and practice bringing the concern up to clients upon our initial consultation, it is hard to anticipate the aspect and implications of neighboring buildings for their potential effects. It is incredibly unfortunate that in light of all the good faith efforts this homeowner is making to contribute to reducing water use and those of the neighbor in maintaining finishes that enhance energy efficiency there are certain combinations of these elements that are yielding destructive returns. The manufacturer and ourselves upon meeting the client offered to replace the material at a highly discounted rate. The client was not satisfied with our offer and efforts to meet in the middle even though the damage was beyond our control.

We do not think it is fair that ourselves or the manufacturer are responsible to refund the entire project although we sincerely apologize for the lag time in getting the manufacturer and owner out to address the issue. We recommend that the client explore a Turf Guard exterior window film with the neighbor and consider taking us up on our offer to replace the turf at the discounted rate.
