Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. my vision coverage doesnt have any allowable amounts (fee schedule/ ucr) anything else you want to refer it to as its a flat $200....so they dont view any of this overage...they allow $toward any coverage expenses which the exam and lenses are covered I know my benefits and I know how coverage works since I have talked with them constantly since this started in february and since I have worked in insurance over years...so I know the business. dont bother responding to this you send money back to anthem I will deal with them maybe they will be more professional and helpfulwe want be coming back to your business no matter what anyway.
Regards,

Dear Revdex.com,
Please acknowledge we did not receive the first notice.  This coupon has been in circulation for over twenty years.  It states at the bottom that some restrictions may apply.
In reference to Mrs. [redacted], We did find that an error was made.  She...

was accidentally overcharged $26.  The contact lenses included in the coupon have a retail value of $50.  Her specific contacts retail at $170.  She was charged an additional $146 for the contacts, however she should have only been charged $120.  We will refund her the $26 overcharge.

Again it is stated in our coupon that some restrictions may apply and this restriction did apply to her.  We do apologize for the error with the overcharge made.  We do feel that our coupon is not misleading.  Perhaps we need to improve our in house communication when patients require contacts where overages apply.

Sincerely,
Jeannie Ross, LPN, COO

Dear Revdex.com,
We apologize for the manner in which this patient's billing was handled.  Blue Cross Blue Shield did pay us in error.  I have sent the refund to BCBS on 9-9-14 of $200.  Since this $200 still has not been deducted from our payments.
* BCBS paid...

the same claim twice.
* Patient's balance of $252 ( overage on their glasses after VSP insurance paid) (BCBS will not pay for the overages)
* Patient paid $126 the day their glasses were ordered, this was half of their $252 balance.
* customarily BCBS will deduct from our check when there has been an overpayment.
* we had reported the overpayment and were waiting for this to be deducted from our check.
* the overpayment was not something we could use towards the patient's remaining balance of $126.
* the patient made three payments of $20 on 5-26, 6-27, and 8-28
* please note the patient still has a balance due to us of $66

A letter was sent to the patient as well.

with warm regards,
Jeannie Ross, LPN, COO

Dear Revdex.com,
Again, VSP had already paid us for the claim.  The patient filed the BCBS which was for exam and lenses that we were already paid for by VSP.  Again, BCBS will not pay for overages (patient needs to check their EOB to see that the exam and lenses were paid twice not the overages), the codes for the $252 balance are not covered.   BCBS sent the $200 in error to us( that the patient had filed).  We were waiting for BCBS to deduct from our payment.  This was BCBS money not our money to reimburse the patient.   Again we could not have reimbursed to the patient which was not our money to give.

Thank you,
Jeannie Ross, LPN, COO
