To whom it may concern,On June 25th 2015, Mr*** called the officeFrom the moment I answered the phone, the patient started yelling at me, Stephanie P***, GM, and slandering our Doctor and our practiceI often times am willing to work with patients and their bills when they present
reasonably. The day the patient missed her appointment, I left a message for her to return my call about the missed appointmentWhen the patient returned my call, she said nothing of the robberyShe said she did not show because we hadn't confirmed her appointment and she relies on appointment confirmationsI informed her that we did leave a message and the provider has a strict policy on not showing to appointments and I would gladly schedule her with another provider, which she agreed to.She called back minutes later, letting me know that she did indeed get the message and that her house broken into, therefore she did not check her phoneShe also stated that she is having some health issues and wants to put the appointment off, anywayWith compassion, I expressed great concern and let her know that unfortunately I had already sent a bill for the missed appointmentAlong with her signed "office policies agreement".As you can imagine, I hear every reason in the book from patients missing appointmentsWe often waive those fees for first time offenders, after an understanding conversation has been hadThere was no conversation, the patient's husband did not even ask for the bill to be waivedHe stated " I know you don't care about our situation and are not going to waive the bill so..." he proceeded to lay into me verballyHe than slandered our name on *** and ***, within minutes of the phone conversation.Attached is my email response to the patient's complaint, as well as the signed office policies.Thank you for your time with this matter.Stephanie P***, GM

consumer filed duplicate complaint: This is in regards to a closed complain (#***) which was closed due to no response from my sideSorry I missed it and didn’t notice the email from Revdex.com or the response from the doctor’s officeThe response from dentist’s office doesn’t answer the concerns raised in the complaintRather, they just stated the same facts that I mentioned in the complaint and trying to make fool of patient or Revdex.com by just getting away without responding the concernAlso, I talked to the dentist office, their behavior was quiet bullying as they don't care about patients and enjoy ruining their credit history if someone doesn't pay the ransom amount they desireThe original complaint was- I went to Precision Periodontics for consultation and root canal estimate on March 30th as this was the only Orthodontics covered in my dental planThe initial quote they gave me as patient responsibility was around $or something and I paid it immediately after the treatment on April 27, I had confirmed several times that I won’t be charged more later and they said they had talked to my insurance and this is what the estimate isIt might increase a little bit so I was ok with that and signed all the paperwork with you must sign with any doctorFew months later, I got a bill of around ~ $saying it wasn't covered by insuranceI called them a couple of time to clarify but it was uselessI talked to my insurance and they said the codes given at the time of estimates were wrong and that resulted in less estimateI am a college going student who is already in huge debt, had I given the right estimate the first time, I would have not gone for root canal and live with the pain for some more timeI am ok if the estimate was off by $50-but $is double the amount I would imagineI called them to consider my request and offer some discount but they kept saying I need to pay it as I have already signed the papers or else they will report to Credit bureauSo now not only I have to pay a high bill but also deal with bad credit historyGiving patients a less estimate and billing heavily later might be a good earning practice but its definitely not an ethical onealso, negative rating by patients hurts a business so they should mind that toogiven a choice, I would never go there againDesired Outcome: Reduce the bill to around $- $

Their response means nothing. Customer service is customer service. They we wrong in the way they handled it and now they are trying to save faceThey even deleted one my comments on their *** page as a PR stuntI can go on about this and about that bu at this point it's he said she saidUnless they zero out the balance on account (We receive a statement in the mail from them for $0) Then my complain shall remain openWhat are my options going forward? Please advise

To whom it may concern,June 23, Mrs*** did not show up for a dental appoint due to personal circumstancesThis was a first time missed appointmentA bill for $was sentPatient called a later in the day and explained her situationI explained our office policies, sent my condolences for their unfortunate situation and scheduled her with another provider. On June 25th, 2015, Mr*** called the office about a bill received for an appointment that his wife did not show up forI explained our office policies, sent my condolences for their unfortunate situation and removed her future appointment, per his request.I understand that Mr*** does not want to pay the bill. Our providers are all independent providers and the provider that was here for her missed appointment has already been paid for the missed appointment, by the practice ownerThe practice owner is willing to take a loss on the fee and remove it from the patient's account, as a one-time courtesy, provided the patient reschedule her appointment with another provider, in the office, and makes it to the appointment. We certainly hope the patient's health problems and house problems are resolved.Attached are the signed office policies.Thank you for your time with this matter.Stephanie P***, GM

To whom it may concern,Patient presented to our office for a consultation on March It was determined that he neededa root canal on tooth #A treatment plan was made, quoting Mr*** $for the root canal, atwhich after the deductible, his portion was "estimated" to be 20% of the
contracted allowance, which is$We reiterated our financial policies obtained his signature on the treatment plan estimate, andthe root canal was scheduledPlease see all attachments. On April 13, *** returned for the root canalHe made a payment after his treatment of $277.10,which was his "estimated" patient portion of the root canal and what United Healthcare determined tobe his patient portion of his consultation from March 30, 2017.On April 27, we received payment of $with the explanation of benefits stating that thepatient and insurance each pay 50%The patient was quoted 20% out of pocket because basic coverageon his insurance contract is 80%His specific contract indicated that a root canal is considered a majorservice, this is rare. The patient currently has a balance of $which includes $in finance charges.Thank youStephanie Rocklin Practice Manager Treatment plan coordinator

[I have no desire to do future business with this provider and would like the account balance zeroed out. When we receive a statement in the mail from them with the balance showing zero or they confirm that they are going to waive the fee without us rescheduling an appointment than we can go our separate ways. This is not some random missed appointment, who charges $100 for a missed appointment anyway? Our house was robbed and before we had a chance to blink we had a bill for $100 pretty much the next day or day after. This is not an acceptable business practice.]
