I hate to write this because the technician really seemed like a very nice guy. He was mannerly, professional and on time. However, despite all of the positives mentioned above, this company's rates are over priced by 200%.
The technician showed me a book with three heaters ranging from $1,900.- $3,700. Being unfamiliar to plumbing practices and prices, I agreed to have the standard heater installed and a new shut off valve replaced at the lowest price. This price also included a pan and some type of alarm that I probably didn't need. The total cost of the job was over $ 2,000.00.
Although I paid the price, my gut told me this price was too high and after talking to several plumbers, family members and friends my thoughts were confirmed. Everyone I spoke to (including plumbers) said the average rate for a 40 gallon water heater installation should be no more than $1,000.00.
It's no wonder this company is not accredited with the Revdex.com. They want to make up their own standards and charge people ridiculous prices. Make sure you do your home work and comparison shop. This place over OVER PRICED.

Review: On March 24th 2014 [redacted] representive from Precision came to our house to access a possible gas odor in the basement. My wife was at the house and I was at work that day. [redacted] found a gas leak where the shut off valve was on our water heater. He suggested we install all new valves for the appliances at a cost of $996.00. A week later I smell more gas and contact the gas company. They respond and find a leak at the dryer and told me that I been ripped off. It does not cost that much to install 4 valves and check for a leak. I am very dissatified with the company and they should give me my money back for failure to fix services creating a serious health hazard and danger of gas in our home.Desired Settlement: To be refunded for services that were not fixed

Response:

Attn: [redacted]Re: [redacted]From: Precision Plus Plumbing 4/10/14I would first like to thank **. [redacted] for bringing these concerns to our attention. My office did call him within 24 hours after the service was performed, and at no time did he bring to our attention that he had some concerns with the work performed. It now appears that he "is unhappy" with 2 issues and I would like to address them 1 at a time.1) Gas leak detected which caused customer to notify gas company.During our visit, I used an electronic gas leak detector, and besides the 1 gas valve that was leaking gas, I could not detect a gas leak anywhere else. Also I'm sure the home owner inspected the work performed once he got home, and could not detect a gas leak as well, otherwise it would not have taken him close to 2 weeks to seek additional help. ( Curious as to why he did not call us 1st, since we were "recently there", that's what most customers would have done). Side note: We fully stand behind "work" that we perform, and offer guarantees to back it up. If we (fixed, repaired, replaced ) gas piping and it "leaked", then I would feel responsible because our job was not done correctly. We will not be responsible for "work" we did not perform. For example what if a pin hole leak occurred in the gas pipe 3 weeks later, 2 months , or even 3 months later? Am I responsible for that leak as well? 2) Overcharged for work performedThe customer was given a price before the work took place based on our straight forward price book. Not only that, he was also given the option to pay half of what he agreed upon, but agreed that it made sense to replace all the valves, which we provided a lifetime warranty . If the customer felt the price was unreasonable, that should have been addressed before the work took place, not afterwards. We charge more than some companies, and much less than others. In closing, if the work we installed fails to perform (leaks, breaks, no longer works), then we would cheerfully redo the work at no charge, and as promptly as possible, not offer a refund for work performed. I am rejecting this response because:

I do not agree with the performance and the cost. The gas company told me I was ripped off.
