Precision Powder Coating

Review: I had my motorcycle motor and various parts powder coated by this company in May of 2013. The motor cases were baked after the coating was applied. The aluminum for the motor is porous and sucked the sandblasting small little particles (glass beads) into the pores of the metal. The parts were never heat cleaned after the motor was sandlasted so once the bike was put back together and the motor heated up on the bike when I rode it, slowly the particles that were embedded in the aluminum began releasing (the sandblasting material glass beads) into the oil system. The bike began running poorly at after a few months. I brought it to my mechanic at the end of the season (11/2013) and he said the lifters and other parts were extremely worn but was not sure why. In the spring of 2014 I started riding again. The bike ran okay for the first few months but eventually began to perform poorly, stalling out, hesitating, and leaking and burning oil. I had to constantly add oil. The bike became so bad that I couldno longer ride it and had to garage it for the rest of the season. My mechanic again took the bike and had to be split the motor in half and completely take it apart. The motor and all its parts were completely worn out. The oil pump, filter lifters, pistons, cylinders, bearings and gaskets all had to be replaced as they were all damaged from the motor working so hard due to all the particles being released into the oil every time the bike was used and the motor heated up. The motor had to be completely wiped down. Very labor intensive job. I have documented photos of damage and written statement from certified bike mechanic that I used to do motor work.Desired Settlement: Refund the money I spend to rebuild the motor due to the damage caused by the poor workmanship when powder coating.

Review: Proprietor is not shipping my items which were sent to him for powder coating purposes. There are some items which have not been paid for yet, however, the one's which have been paid for he does not intend to ship. In addition, there are some non-powder coating items, which were additional parts that I purchased during my deployment and the business was kind enough to accept delivery but also charge me for storage of which I paid. They also charged me for preparing all these items for shipping.Since September of last year when I engaged him and settled the bill for the above items, he appears to not want to ship the items and sends me an email claiming I did not make payment.
