I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # ***Precision Transmission DID NOT have my permission to remove items from my vehicle's back seat and throw them into the truck bed and they DID NOT have my permission to take apart my back seat to "diagnose" the issue with the running boardA simple phone call to me asking me whether I wanted them to spend more than an hour diagnosing the problem or whether I wanted them to remove my belongings or take apart the back seat to "diagnose" would have gotten an absolute "NO" from me. Further, when I brought my vehicle today to a *** dealership to diagnose the problem, they were able to diagnose the problem within minutes and only charged $to diagnose and remedy the problem which was to remove the motor from the non-working running board so that I can utilize the running board in a fixed positionI've attached the invoice from Hampton ***. The diagnosis charge was only $plus the labor to remove the motor brought the fee to $99.95. That is a far cry from what Precision Transmission charged. Precision Transmission overcharged me for excessive labor costs which were unreasonable and did things to my vehicle and belongings which they did not have my permission for

I reiterate that under no certain terms did Precision Transmission have my permission to remove the contents and take apart the back seat of my vehicle. The visit to a [redacted] dealership and their invoice showed that the diagnose could unequivocally be made in 15 minutes NOT 4.5 hours. Again, I did not ask nor expect Precision Transmission to spend 4.5 hours on a job estimate that clearly only took a [redacted] dealership 15 minutes. Precision Transmission took apart the back seat of my vehicle because they had no clue what they were doing and I should not be penalized for their ineptitude. I want my money refunded immediately and expect an apology.

Ms. [redacted] dropped off her 2010 [redacted] for us to diagnose the problem with the driver side motorized running board. We did repair the passenger side motorized running board previously. When she made the appointment, I was specific to explain I could not guarantee we could repair it like...

last time. We would need to diagnose the issue and then we would be able to provide an estimate. It may in fact be an electrical issue. I emphasized I could not possibly guarantee what the problem was or confirm a price for the repair until we diagnosed it. When we scanned the vehicle a B1168 code came up which gave us a starting point to diagnose. We then accessed our troubleshooting hotline to determine the failure. It steered us in the direction of an electrical issue. In order to diagnose, we performed the testing process that was suggested. This included removing the seat so we could access the control module for the running board. We took the necessary steps to pinpoint the problem in order to properly diagnose the issue. After tracing the electrical issue, we determined a new motor was needed. It took us 4 hours to trace the wiring problem concerning the running board. We charged her accordingly for the diagnosis she requested. I have included the step we needed to follow to diagnose the electrical issue in a separate file.
