Revdex.com Case: XXXXXX
The job in question was completed per customer's plan, however, she changed her mind and wanted the gas line to be moved after it had been installedMoving the line was not warranty, it was over and above the original job
As of today, we have written off the amount in question *** and request that this customer call another plumbing company in the future
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (2000, 7, 2015/07/30) */
(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
I accept their responseI it is my sincere hope that this company does not treat others this wayRefusing to discuss the issue with me made no senseAnd to greatly inflate the agreed upon price made no senseFor safety reasons only I made clear from the beginning what was acceptable and what wasn'tI honestly believe this could have been resolved if I had been allowed to discuss with the manager who made the original bid without having to file a complaint with the Revdex.com and the Attorney General's OfficeThat was something I did not WANT to do

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2016/06/29) */

Re: Revdex.com Case XXXXXX
In response to this complaint:
Our Service Superviser has made multiple attempts to contact this customer, however, there has been no answer
It appears that she has decided not to pay for the entire service call
In fact we received a check on 7-6-for ***
We will accept this as payment in full for the invoice in question, but we will not warranty the labor and material to install the kitchen faucetThe old faucet was brought into the shop and it is apparent that it was defective prior to our service call
We apologize for any inconvenience
Respectfully,
Reed's Plumbing & Heating, Inc

While replacing the sewer lines at [redacted] and [redacted] S [redacted] we discovered that the City main was in need of repair at the connection point. The connection point is located in front of the driveway to [redacted] S [redacted] which is where we...

had to dig down in order to repair the main. We received approval from the Sewer Maintenance Dept to repair their main while we were on the site. Any area where a public utility is located is considered to be part of the "Right of Way". All work described by this citizen was completed on the "Right of Way". We apologize for the oil spill. It was cleaned up as soon as we were made aware of it. The City of Springfield is responsible for the Street patch and they will take care of it according to their schedule.

While digging next door to this customer, we found that the 2 sewer lines (this customer and the neighbor's) were tied together and that this customer's sewer line had a bad spot.
Our operator spoke to this customer about the situation and the...

he agreed to have it repaired while we had the line exposed. Taking care of his problem at the time was considerably less expensive than waiting to have it done. Since he personally spoke to our operator and agreed on having the repair completed that day, we do not feel that we owe this customer anything in return. He was fully aware of all that was going on at the time.

I was not around that day, I left after they had broke my line and went out of state for a week on a mission trip with my church. I did say they could fix it I just think that $557 was a bit too much to put in the clean out, they had already dug the ditch and that shouldn't be put on me to pay, I didn't request them to dig the sewer line my neighbor did. so I am willing to pay for a clean out but $557 is plain robbery. if they would of told me it was going to be that much I would of turned them down. like I said, I left the state and wasn't there to watch them work. this is plainly taking advantage of a homeowner.
Final Business Response /* (4000, 12, 2015/11/17) */
It appears that this customer is not willing to admit that we were not responsible for the circumstances that we found. We were there to resolve the sewer problem that his neighbor was experiencing when we discovered that the two lines were tied together. We realize that he may not have been aware of this either. As such, we will go forward, not dwelling on what took place in the past. We are going to return $375.00, even though our previous charges were fair and reasonable. We are not giving a full refund because he did agree, on the date of service, to pay to have a cleanout installed.
Final Consumer Response /* (2000, 14, 2015/11/18) */
(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
I will accept the $375 I just thought that $557 was way to much to install a cleanout
Thank you four your efforts in this.

Review: I have had my car in other shops before and never have I experienced the poor customer service and service that I received with this shop. [redacted] and his shop are a joke. He changed phone numbers 3 times while my car was in his shop and never gave me the new number until I was texting and calling the other number back to back. Then I received a text saying not to text the old number because he had a new number. He made up excuses as to why my car wasn't done. One excuse was that he was in the hospital having his heart checked because he was having chest pains the other was about his father in law being in the hospital. I think he is just looking for his customers to feel sorry for him. I was very patient with him in repairing my vehicle only for it to breakdown the minute I took it home, not once but at least twice. I gave him the opportunity to make it right, which he never did. The last day I picked up my vehicle, according to him it was done, he text to say he left my car outside and put the keys in the gas compartment. He wasn't there to give me my paper work or to see if I was satisfied with the repair. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! I drove it home and the transmission was worse than when I took it in. He promised to give me my money back and several months later, I am still waiting. He says he is waiting on a settlement from an accident he was in and will give me my money back. Well still I wait...my car is still broken down several months later and no money back from him as he promised. I would NEVER recommend this shop to anyone! Although the address says N Market, his shop is now at 1241 Santa Ana Ave., Ste 7.Desired Settlement: I would like to have my $1100 refunded. Although I have my car at home, it is not driveable because the transmission is worse than how it was when I took it in to him four months ago.
