October 30, Re: Revdex.com Consumer Complaint #10882741, Ms***
***On October 8, 2015, Ms*** vehicle was towed to the Precision Tune Auto Care located in Richmond, VA. Her concern involved a flashing Check Engine Light and poor vehicle performance and accelerationOur certified technician performed a Scan Test in order to isolate trouble codes stored on the vehicle’s computer system. Several trouble codes were apparent at the time of the Scan Test. These codes are in direct correlation to various components that were attributing to the vehicle’s lack of performance and “no start” condition, namely, Spark Plugs, Plug Wires and Ignition Coils. Additionally, the technician documented that the Scan Test indicated inefficiency with the Catalytic Converter. The technician noted this malfunction was most likely attributed to insufficient fuel delivery. This condition is caused by the improper functioning spark plugs causing inefficient fuel delivery through the Catalytic Converter. Therefore, removing and replacing the Catalytic Converter was not recommended at the time of service. Typically, we advise our customers to wait and see if the Tuservices fully address the vehicle’s poor performance. Many times, malfunctioning components can mask issues with other components; however, these are unknown until suspect components are replaced, trouble codes cleared and the vehicle is driven and symptoms reappear.
Ms*** authorized the recommended services - Spark Plugs, Plug Wires, Ignition Coils, and a Fuel Induction ServiceIn addition, Ms*** authorized additional services in relation to a VA State Vehicle Safety Inspection - these services were unrelated to her initial concernOn October 27, 2015, Ms*** brought her vehicle to the Precision Tune Auto Care located in Manassas, VA, complaining of poor vehicle performance. Our certified technician performed a Scan Test that revealed trouble codes relating to the Catalytic Converter. A replacement of the Catalytic Converter was recommended at that time. Ms*** had driven her vehicle miles from the date of services at the Richmond, VA location to the re-diagnosis at the Manassas, VA location. As stated above, the replacement of those engine components and subsequent miles driven now indicate that it is time for removal and replacement of the Catalytic ConverterWe will appreciate the opportunity to perform this service on behalf of Ms*** vehicle and gladly offer $super saver discount in addition to a $discount as a good will gestureWe look forward to Ms*** response

Review: I had my windshield replaced by Precision Glass, next day I experienced air blowing in the right side. I phoned the company, they said I needed to give it 24 hr's for the seal to dry. Next day I had the same issue called back again, and they said they would come to out and repair it. They never came. I phoned back again, they gave me an excuse why they never came, and planned to come again, once again they never came. I started noticing water leaking into my car from where the windshield was not sealed. I phoned again and they said they would come to do the repair. Third time they never came. I took my car to [redacted] to have the windshield replaced. My floorboards were soaked with water. I contacted a lawyer who sent them a letter to reimburse me for the payment to have the windshield replaced. They never responded to the letter.Desired Settlement: I request the price it cost me to have the windshield properly installed to prevent water damage to my vehicle.

Review: On October 3, 2015, my car started to shake and did accelerate, pull to side of the road. Car was towed to Precision Tune Auto Care, [redacted] gave us status of the diagnostics report: Engine Tune, which consists of sparks plugs, cat convertor, coils, wires est of $900. I inform her to do the work to fix the engine problem. Next day, [redacted] call to say the car ready, ask if I want the windshield, side mirror repair; I Tech [redacted], ran the same diagnostic and the code PO420 came back up, this code was also the code the TECH received in Richmond, that they failed to repair. Tech [redacted] stated that this part is bad and not working, and should have been repaired. This company is not a trustworthy President of this company needs to look into his company.Desired Settlement: I was charged $1501.49 minus $600 for engine work that did resolved the problem. I want to be refund back $600. I want the people who work at Precision Tune (Richmond,VA) to undergo training, stop ripping customer off. I want the Corporate Office of this company to take responsible when their company failed to delivery quality service; trained employee [redacted] unprofessional in that office.

Review: I had my [redacted] windshield replaced at Precision Auto Glass shop on August 15, 2014. The windshield was replaced to my satisfaction. In the process of replacing my windshield the technician damaged my dash speaker. The [redacted] indicated he would order me another speaker and replace it at no charge. I have made several calls to this business asking when will my dash speaker be repaired, only to get an answer the part is on back order or the [redacted] is not in to take my call. My last call was Wednesday December 24, 2014. Thier excuse this time was that my information was contained in another computer system.Desired Settlement: Replace the dash board speaker as promised.
