Review: Due to the snowstorm on December 14, 2013, there was a parking ban in the city of [redacted]. My car was parked on the street but because it is in need of a transmission, I was unable to move it off the street (even though I put the gears in neutral and with the help of my family tried to push it). As a result, the car was towed. After calling the [redacted], I found out that it had been towed to [redacted] in [redacted]. I called to find out how much I owed and the cost to have it towed back since it is not driveable. I was quoted $153 related to the parking ban and an additional $85 to have it towed back to my residence. I along with my mother went to [redacted] to pay for the return of my car. We did not see the car on the lot when we arrived, but paid the fees and said we would be at home for the car's arrival. When the driver arrived at my home with the car, my father and I were outside clearing a spot for it to be placed. My father immediately noticed that the back bumper had been damaged and was peeling away from the car. He pointed this out to the driver ([redacted]) who intially said that he personally towed the car and nothing happened to it. When confronted that there was no damage to the car prior to the towing and if the only place that it went was to his facility, something had to have happened. He then admitted that something could have occured on the lot but it was snowing and he could not see in the snow. There was no amicable resolution or responsibilty taken by [redacted] representative to correct the damage.Desired Settlement: The rear bumper had been repaired earlier this year by [redacted], ** (###-###-####)due to vandalism. I called [redacted] today to get the cost of repair, since it now has to be done again and it is a direct result of [redacted] negligence while my car was in their custody. The repair cost quoted by [redacted] is $400. I am requesting the $400 for repair from [redacted] plus the $85 I paid to have the car towed by to my home.
