I purchased a pallet of wood pellets from Preeceville Home Hardware in the fall. I only purchased a whole pallet because you get a better price and I was told by staff I could pick them up as I needed them. I took 35 bags home with me that day and had the manager sign my receipt stating how many bags I had left to pick up. Come November due to unforeseen circumstances I had to move,(40km away) I no longer needed wood pellets but could not find the receipt, busy with moving I knew it was just a matter of time before it showed up. I sat down to start income tax and found the receipt beginning of April.I contacted the manager he took the receipt # and said he would get back to me. He called me 2 weeks later told me it was an 8 month old issue and according to his inventory the wood pellets had been picked up [redacted]. [redacted]. Emailed Home Hardware Canada they told me all they could do was help mediate. Received reply email from Home Hardware Canada "it is my understanding the store has been in contact with you directly and is working on a solution as you have made some requests over the phone. Since the Home Hardware stores are not Franchised it is up to the store manager/owners to resolve the issue directly with you." I made the request of being refunded or picking up the remaining bags in the first initial conversation [redacted] and have not spoken to this man since, so I'm not sure why Home Hardware Canada is under the impression the manager and I are working on solution. I emailed Home Hardware and told them that but they have quit replying to my emails. I'm going to point out in no way shape or form are these wood pellets locked up, they sit behind the store in a parking lot leaving the door open to many possibilities.Product_Or_Service: wood pelletsAccount_Number: receipt#[redacted]Desired SettlementI would like to be refunded for the 30 bags of wood pellets that I paid for. She then said she never ever said 20 bags,[redacted]. [redacted]. I stated our policies are on our receipts. She insisted she wanted cash back cause she no longer needed the pellets, then hung up the phone. [redacted]Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)There has been no attempt to resolve the issue. [redacted]
