Hello [redacted],   My name is Patrick [redacted], and I am the Director of Guest Service for the Minnesota Twins. We received your complaint about parking for the June 23rd weekday afternoon game via the Revdex.com.   We are very sorry that you had such a difficult time finding...

parking for the game on June 23rd. Since we are a downtown ballpark, and there are so many downtown workers using so many of the available parking spaces for the weekday afternoon games, parking can be very difficult for those games. Unfortunately, we do not control any of the parking facilities around the ballpark – they are all either municipal parking facilities or privately-owned ramps or lots. We also did not have any flexibility in terms of the location for Target Field –when the legislation that resulted in the construction of Target Field was approved in 2006, it specifically listed this site. Given that it took us roughly 10 years to get a ballpark bill approved, we did not feel we could turn down this opportunity.   These parking issues generally only arise for weekday afternoon games, so if you attend a weeknight or weekend game you should not have any difficulty locating a parking spot. If you do choose to attend a weekday afternoon game, there are a couple of options that will likely make your experience much better. You can use one of the park and ride locations along either of the light-rail train lines and then take the light-rail to Target Field. Many fans do this and find it very convenient – more information can be found at www.metrotransit.org. You can also purchase a parking pass in advance through www.parkingpanda.com. We are not affiliated with this organization at all, but many of our employees will use this for weekday afternoon games. This allows you to pre-purchase a reserved parking space in advance of driving downtown, so you know where you will be going and know you have a reserved space. Often the price is greatly reduced compared to the standard parking rates at these facilities.   While I cannot offer a refund to you for the tickets you purchased for the June 23rd game, I can certainly offer you complimentary tickets to a future game. If you will not be returning to the Twin Cities this season, we can extend this offer into next year. The only game next season I cannot provide tickets for is the home opener (or any potential playoff games), but other than that any game will be fine. It is just a matter of checking the schedule and contacting me directly once you have a game date picked-out. You can email me directly at patrick[redacted]@twinsbaseball.com for your tickets.   Thank you very much for your support, and we look forward to welcoming you back to Target Field!   Patrick
