The century link senior officer said they had been sued for $million dollars under the preferred long distance name all ready

Terrible customer service! I would NEVER recommend this company! I had problems almost EVERY month with them I will gladly pay more money for better service They also shared personal information of mine with others! HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE company!

I received a phone call about switching services from AT&T that seemed like I great deal. Upon getting my first phone bill that was prorated, I quickly switched back to AT&T. The initial phone bill for Preferred Long Distance was prorated and totaled $727. 75 for 2 months of service! That was $80 more a month that I was initially spending. After several phone calls, I had the service switched back and was told I would get a new/updated bill in the mail. I received that today for $624.50 for less than 5 weeks of service. Not only was the customer service rep extremely rude upon asking her questions of why my bill was so high, I also have a LATE CHARGE for a bill that I got in the mail today! I never write reviews but wanted to warn any other individuals DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!

This company contacted my small business, and asked to speak to the owner who handles our [redacted] phone account. When asked if they actually WERE [redacted] phone company, they said "Yes, this is Preferred Long Distance on behalf of [redacted]. Convinced us to sign up for their plan, the bill was twice as much as they said it would be, and twice as much as my regular [redacted] carrier. They said everything was included, such as call waiting, etc., but it was not. They called a few months ago for that experience, and they called again today and tried to pull the same thing. No thank you!

I have had a very hard time with Company
1. Lied about the pricing!
2. They have to call [redacted] for Repairs(they are not in a hurry for Preferred)
3.All the Extra charges the told us we wouldn't pay (another false statement)
I do not want others to fall for the sales call!

This company is the worst customer oriented company I have ever been in contact with. I am a professional working in a large business trying to end services with Preferred Long Distance. When I called, their name has changed, I'm assuming to distance themselves from all of the horrible PR they have had from unhappy customers. The customer service rep was rude and wouldn't let me speak to a manager, as she claimed she was the manager. They charged us for dates of service we didn't use and refused to hear my side of the disagreement. She was also rude and completely unprofessional. I called back the next day hoping to resolve it with someone else and she answered it again. I believe they may be down to one rep that answers all the calls. NEVER, EVER change to PREFERRED LONG DISTANCE or to their new company name TELPLEX COMMUNICATIONS.

Someone called me claiming they were from AT&T long distance (they were not) and that because of a federal decision, I *had* to switch out my long distance service to a new carrier, that being Preferred Long Distance.

I have since learned that this is a scam called "Slamming". The fact that they mis-represented themselves as being from AT&T iced the cake.

Unfortunately, I only caught this on day 32 of the billing cycle, so I expect to see one of the BS "pro-rated" bills in the mail any day now. I have told them that I will not pay, given how they fraudulently obtained my services.

This business is a cheating one. Even if I did not agree to reserve its service, this busniess charged my company via AT&T.
