We have not seen the complaint or even know who it was from until today. It may have been sent to the former companies PoBox *** in Corydon instead of P.OBox *** in New AlbanyNow that we know the account was in the name of *** *** and not *** ***, we can at least research itOur records indicate you cancelled service October 30, It is possible for drivers to miss a few customers as their routes include stops per week and they change daily as new customers are added and some customers are suspended for non payment and still others change carriers. Our office phone is ###-###-#### and has not changed since we acquired the business in February 2017. We have an office manager and an assistant staffing the phones pretty much days a weekOur call volume is high as a lot of customers pay by calling in to pay with a credit card. The system will put you in voice mail if they are away from their desk or on the line with other customersWe call all of those customers back each day or the following day if they are received late in the day.We are sorry that you have been missed and that you have discontinued service, however, we will refund one more week than was requestedI have instructed our accounting department to refund $for weeksSince we still pick up the trash following a miss, that is more than fair.*** ***Controller, Capitol Waste Solutions

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. This stems from you not providing the service I paid you for.  You only picked up my trash 6 times out of 13.  You only picked it up the 6 times because I called you over and over.  Three of those weeks I called you four times each week.  I sent you a certified letter on 9/11 stating that your sporadic service is no longer needed.  You send me a bill for the next three months with an $8 credit.  Not sure how you figure that.  You owe me $29.61.  I have not received a check from you, but as I stated you sent me a bill. I want to be clear, as of 9/11 my trash has been picked up by [redacted].  YOUR SERVICES ARE NOT LONGER NEEDED, because you didn't bother doing what you were supposed to.

While I have not yet received this check, I'm sure that it is in the mail and will reach me shortly.  However, of the amount is $55 then that is only a refund for the amount of this quarter, which started August 1st. However, this business failed in their contractual weekly trash pickup for the last week of July as well, which should mean an additional refund of $4.58, as discussed with the business at the time of cancelling their service.
