completed repair, of a badly damaged vehicle, that were not met. On October 29th 2014, this vehicle was towed in to our facility. It had been hit by the car owner's fiancé in the right rear, and pushed him into a vehicle ahead of him. The damage to the front and rear of the car was enough to cause the vehicle to be an economic total loss (cost of repair exceeded the value of the vehicle). The owner had
spent a large amount of time modifying and customizing the car, and did not want the car to be "totalled". The insurance company had an adjuster review the vehicle damages and they came to a compromise with the vehicle owner. They would pay the original estimate amount for the repair, but would not pay for additional or supplemental damage repairs. The owner wanted the repairs to be fixed, (front and right rear damage) and he also wanted the whole car to be painted one color as he had spray painted everything but the roof with aerosol (rattle can) flat black paint. He also wanted us to replace the front and rear bumpers with a different model that were much more expensive. I have a soft spot for young people that are passionate about their cars and we really wanted to help him. The most important was to make sure that the damaged area was repaired properly. We then repainted the remaining area that was spray painted black. All of this was completed for the original amount of the damage estimate. The owner had told s that there was no hurry to complete the repairs as he didn't need it back until the following Spring. The vehicle was completed on December 17th 2014. · When the owner came in to pick up his car he was given the final bill for the repair, the amount of the original estimate, and some additional repairs he had asked us to perform. He refused to pay for the additional. repairs and did not have his deductible. He yelled at my staff, caused quite a scene, and left. He returned the next day with his deductible, and did not pay for the additional repairs, but we did release his car to him. On March 23rd 2015 the owner came in and asked us to paint the door handles, someinterior trim pieces, and sand and polish the entire vehicle. I told him that I was sorry Ihadn't h.ad a chance to get him an estimate for that. He then told me that it should have been performed with the original repairs. I reminded him that we had not charged him for the extra parts and services. He complained th.at it should have been done anyway. At this time I told him that we would not be interested in performing any more repairs or services on his vehicle. Thank you for your time.
