Hello,We had an 8pm appt at the 2nd P/UDriver arrived at 819pm per the shipper and was loaded at 438am the next morning Because they were late to 2nd PU and those times were confirmed with the shipper I told them we could not pay them for detention at that stop They are due hour of detention for delivery which is already added in the loadWe are prepared to pay the carrier $for the load which is the agreed upon rate and $for the hour of detentionThe attached invoice is simply something they came up with on their own and was never agreed to Our contract states detention is addressed on a case by case basis and implies no obligation to pay if a carrier is forced to wait after missing their appointment time.They are on Net pay terms and the invoice has not been submitted to our accounting department at this time Please let me know if you need anything further.Thank you

Good Morning ***,We wanted to get back to you on this before the weekend I have attached our rate confirmation, which is basically the contract for this particular job I have highlighted the section that pertains to this complaint Had the carrier called us at the time of loading, and notified us of the delay, we could have alerted the proper people and either expedited the loading process, or gotten approval for the detention money As the freight broker, we have limited authority to obtain detention money and need to follow certain procedures in order to do so The carrier did not allow us to follow those by not informing us at the time so unfortunately we are not able to meet their requestIf there is evidence they can supply to the contrary, I would like to see it If it is something that our company had a hand in, I certainly have no issue paying what is rightfully owed.Thank you, [redacted] LogisticsOperations Manager

He never told me the appointment
was changed and never called to tell me he was waitingOn Monday he requested
detentionWhen I talked to him on Friday I was just doing a check call to make
sure he was checked in, he was I told him he has to let me know if he
still isn’t

He never did so detention was not approved

Please look at the picture that was submitted, nothing on there shows that any call was made at 2:43pm. We will have our operation manager reach out to you to resolve this matter.

We had an appointment at 2:30pm, my driver was at the location at 2 pm. He waited until 2:30 pm to check in and the shipper told my driver that his appointment is at 4:30pm instead of 2:30 pm. That's when I called Paul R[redacted] to get an answer on this issue and he called to the shipper and called me back at 2:43 pm. The green arrow on this picture indicates the call I received. Red arrow indicates that I called. When I was talking to Paul R[redacted] on the phone at 2:43pm he said that the shipper made a mistake and they will pay me $50/hour after 3 hours of waiting since 2:30 pm because that is when my appointment was set on the rate sheet. Paul R[redacted] keep denying he talked to me on the phone at 2:43 pm but I do have a proof that I called him right after my driver told me about the appointment time change. I have called him on Monday, Tuesday few times. Whenever he talked to he said he will talk to his customer and kept avoiding me. I have records of calling him and talking to him on these attachments.  I can not believe someone would deny the promise he made. Paul R[redacted] said that for sure it was their fault and will pay me and it looks like they are busy so they will pay you good amounts of detention. I just want my detention as I was promised. If Paul R[redacted] doesn't remember what he said then I don't think he should be working in broker business. Thank you
