Premier Chevrolet, Inc. Reviews (3)

My wife and I called to inquire about the price flexibility of a used truck Premier Chevrolet had listed. Because we reside 75 minutes from the dealership, we wanted to make sure the pricing was in the ballpark of our budget before wasting our time. Joanne, the internet sales manager, was the point of contact for negotiations between the finance manager and us. We came to an agreement on price and agreed to leave our house immediately to purchase the vehicle, contingent upon a successful test drive. Premier Chevrolet requested a deposit over the phone, and we responded by offering our credit card or another method. Joanne then stated since we were leaving immediately and were expected at the dealer within 90 minutes, the deposit could be placed upon arrival at the dealership. Although we offered to put a deposit on the vehicle, the dealership declined, insinuating they would hold the truck for the next 90 minutes before we arrived. Arriving at the dealer, we were surprised to find out the dealer had not only let the truck we had agreed to purchase go out for a test drive but they had also begun the process of signing papers with that customer. After being lead on that we would be purchasing the truck by taking us on our test drive, we were informed by the salesman, the truck had been sold. Voicing our disgust with the dealership not honoring our verbal agreement was met without concern because according to their sales manager, Jason, "They just want to take in as much money from customers as possible." It speaks volumes about the character of those at the dealership that they held no accountability for the mistakes of their employees and proceeded with the sale to the new customer at our expense. Premier Chevrolet screwed us out of the truck they agreed to sell us, 4-1/2 hours of time and ½ tank of gas.

The [redacted] refused our agreed on verbal deal after we drove 6 hrs. to trade autos. He falsely said our auto engine was bad, was very rude, ctc.I'm writing in complaint of our experience with [redacted], [redacted] at Premier Chevrolet, [redacted]. His e-mail address is [redacted], phone: (XXX) XXX-XXXX. After a few days of negotiations, we made a verbal deal over the phone for trade-in on a used vehicle, which we were to pay an additional $11,500.00. The [redacted] and I agreed on this price. We drove 6 hours to get there with a cashier's check to pay in full with us. While the technician was checking out our Ford, we took their Chevy for a test drive, & went through all the paperwork with the salesman, [redacted], who was very nice. At this point I was called in see the [redacted]. [redacted] backed out of our deal by falsely saying the engine of our Ford trade-in was bad, that it was knocking and going to blow. He also complained about the decals on our Ford, which easily come off with the heat of a hair drier. His 3rd complaint was that our Ford has a "check engine" light on. If they would have plugged our Ford into their computer for troubleshooting, they would have discovered it was just the gasoline vent. We had previously had our local dealer check this, so we knew why the light was on. [redacted] would not listen to any of our explanations or agree to do any further investigating to see if we were correct in this. Previous to making the verbal deal, [redacted] had never even asked to see a photo of our Ford trade in. After leaving in disappointment, we stopped at a Ford service center near Premier Chevrolet & had it confirmed that our Ford's engine was sound. It was not knocking, there was only a simple exhaust leak, which would be inexpensive to fix. [redacted] was very rude and unprofessional in the way he treated me and shouted. I suppose the [redacted] expected us to beg him for the truck by paying additional money, but we did not offer to. Since we are back home we met a woman from that area of CT who says the dealers in her home town do this all the time, thinking once they get you to drive that far from home, they can make any deal they want. This cannot continue! I'd appreciate any help, thanks.Sincerely,[redacted]Desired SettlementI would like to purchase the truck for $11,500.00 plus trade in of my truck as agreed upon. Additionally, I would like [redacted] to personally deliver the vehicle to me, collect the check, provide paperwork, exchange titles, provide plates & registration (as was agreed upon), and take mine back with him. And lastly, for him to apologize to me.Business' Initial Response At Premier Chevrolet we take our obligation to provide exceptional customer service very seriously. Unfortunately there are times when the trade value of a vehicle is not ultimately agreed to and a transaction is not consummated. In this case, the customer was told several times that the trade value was contingent upon inspection and the vehicle being in excellent condition. The trade was not in excellent condition. It had several issues which impacted its trade value. Because these issues were not previously disclosed by the customer, they only became apparent upon an in person inspection of the vehicle. Unfortunately we were not able to come to an agreement on the trade value.

they have stolen nearly 200.00 dollars from me and Clearly don't know how to work on their cars. I brought my car in for an electrical issue. they charged me 200.00. They told me it was the starter, so I changed it (another 200.00). The problem persisted. So I brought it back and they said it was the battery, which was a week old. They tested the battery and it tested well and functioning as it should. I also brought it to [redacted]. They tested the battery an it was fully functioning. but I brought it back to [redacted] and insisted on a new battery, so they switched it for a new battery and the problem continued. I brought it back to Premier and they had it for another week and they said the battery is bad. It Is not the battery, they have no testable proof it is in fact all test done by them or anyone else indicates the battery is working as new!!! All I want is to know what is wrong with my car I will fix it myself but they wont do what I paid them to do. Chevrolet told me if I want to pay for a second diagnostic for another dealer they might find another problem. But I find it bad business to charge someone twice to do something once. Please help!!!!Desired SettlementAll I wanted last month was for them to tell me what was wrong with my car. Now I just want them to give my money back and I would like to cut ties with these thieves.Business' Initial Response Contact Name and Title: [redacted]Contact Phone: [redacted]Contact Email: [redacted] spoke wiht [redacted] and they have an understanding that after [redacted] deals with this situation in his own way....He will indeed let [redacted] know the result and then we will deal with this situation if still an issue regarding the battery.
