I spoke to [redacted] earlier today and had him bring his wife's [redacted] in to inspect the "binding" condition he referred to in his demand letterUpon inspection it was determined that the universal joint on the steering shaft has excessive wear causing his binding conditionI took the opportunity to bring [redacted] out of the vehicle to show him the universal joint and it's conditionI communicated to him this was in no way related to the airbag recall that was performed as the recall requires replacement of the airbag recall that was performed as the recall processThe universal joint in the steering shaft is toward the bottom of the car close to the steering rack and as stated is binding due to wear
