What are the other dispute options? She claims I didn't caulk her windows and I didThe only thing I did wrong is install the exhaust fan incorrectlyShe wants over$800? I'm sorry but I could pay a licensed union Contractor to put one of those in for $100-$200 MaxIf we can agree on
something reasonable besides the customer just being right and calling all the shots when I'm defenseless in the hospitalThank you, please get back with me.***

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:  [redacted] never called me and said he would have any other contractor come and look at the exhaust fan that he installed incorrectly.  I never heard from [redacted] at all after he left my house with the promise that he would finish up the roof vents.  He has NEVER called me since then and the only communication I had from him at all was when he responded to my repeated requests for a refund.  And admittedly, as a 63 year old woman, I have NOT been on the roof to look to see if any vents were installed - however I had a tuck pointer come over and open up some house vents on the sides of the house (another recommendation made by Blake, which I trusted, and which caused the walls of my house to sweat heavily from the ceilings due to no ventilation getting through the small crawl space that is in these 100 year old St. Louis brick homes).  If [redacted] would have indeed installed roof vents, then the ceilings would not have been sweating as they did.  I had to make corrections to the things [redacted] did in error because my home was not operating correctly and I could not get ahold of him.  No one from his family (or even him after he got out of the hospital) let me know that he was having any of these problems.  If he was trying to get his business back on track, you would have thought he would have contacted his former customers and explained things and asked for the ability to come and fix the problems he made.  But no, never heard a peep from him.I will settle this claim for $400 - I originally wanted $840 which is the amount it cost me to fix or replace things he did wrong.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

This is false. The roof vents were put in,windows were caulked. I was hospitalized for a week and was told not to work for 6 months due to a seizure I had. I will admit I installed the exhaust fan incorrectly, but I offered to have a licensed electrician come out and put a new one in. She said she didn't want me, or anyone I knew in her house. I then asked her she could pick the contractor, still refused. That is until she had a company charge her $500+ to turn an exhaust fan around. I called 3 fellow contractors, and they all said that's $100-$200 Max,it's not but maybe an hour's work, the fans already up an ready. Then after that I thought, I'd rather not argue and just pay her than to have an unsatisfied customer smearing bad reviews all over the internet, but it was in the dead of winter, I wasn't able to work for 6 months, along with trying to take care of my mother who just had a liver transplant. I'm not selling you a false story, this is all the truth. I've recently decided, no, I'm not gonna pay triple for a job I made a mistake on, and I'm surely not gonna pay for something that I already did. She's got pictures, from before I caulked the windows I've seen. Either way, I will settle this by paying $150 for the light install, that's meeting in the middle. As far as caulking windows, I will recaulk them while your at work, and the roof vents that are up there, I will take pictures of or install 2 new ones. That is my offer.
